Weather was not so hot. That’s why the termina pools was just perfect. We enjoyed the waterpark and the whole area was very green and beautiful. Staff was very nice and friendly., they let us check in four hours earlier, that was very nice of them.
-
the facilities, the ubication, the staff have to pay for everything, to many bracelets . All inclusive plan or similar would be great

The breakfast was great. They didn't have shampoo or conditioners at the room. The pool and park area

The swimming pool with waves Check in and check out were too slow, they took forever. Breakfast is very basic and the options for lunch are very limited and unhealthy. We didn't have dinner in the hotel as there are better options in the vicinity. They sell beer, cocktails, snacks, açai, milkshakes but they don't have a stall selling coffee.

Proximity to both the falls and the Argentinian border Wave pool closed early

Food was 10/10 1. Bathroom floor was broken and my girlfriend got injured with blood 2. The shower was not working properly 3.We threw our condoms in the bathroom trash can the night we had our intimacy. Went for breakfast the morning after. At that time, the cleaning service was at our unit. We came back around 11:30 am and found our used condom on top of our back carry on. This CANNOT happen anywhere. For one, cleaning was terrible. For another, what was the “message” from the hotel cleaning as if intercourse isn’t allowed. 4. Hotel marketing for the MyMabu Membership made our trip definitely not worth it. We went all ears to listen to what was it all about yet we established from a start we were not interested in BUYING an apartment. They were very insistent, rude and made us feel like insignificant. They tried to made us sign to a 40 year plan. We lost 2 hours of our vacation time and were treated like fools as they wouldn’t let us leave. If I had the resources, I would definitely take legal action. They were all over the place and were having an unfriendly and extremely to the limit sales practice.

The hotel is very well located and the facilities are amazing for families. The buffet was poor. No healthy options really. A couple of days our room had not been made by 7pm. We had to ask for new towels at the reception - which was not close to our room

Facilities were great with the pools and park and courts. Rooms were clean and comfortable enough for a family of 4. Service staff was also friendly. Prices for food and drinks around the complex were expensive! Had they been 20-30% less they’d be spot on!

I liked the fact that this resort was located directly opposite a huge shopping mall, 15 mins from the airport( IGU) ,15 mins from the boarder of Argentina, about 25 mins to the entrance of the iguazu national park where the iguazu fall is located and two minutes walk to a taxi stand. Everything about the location of this resort was perfect. I also like that the resort itself was very neat! My room, which was situated in the new grey building, was amazing.! I was on the fifth floor room 590. I had the view of the pools, the children's water slides, the wave pool, the zip liner, and the beautiful view of the forest as well. There is a lookout point at the end of the corridor ,which is a glass partition, and that's where my room was located. Very friendly staff. I also liked the fact that the guests at this resort had access to the water park next door. There was also a zipliner on property, which cost like R70 since it was owned and operated by a company not associated with the resort The other thing that I liked about the resort ,was that , you had a choice to eat three meals at the resort at a small cost of R100 per person for lunch and dinner, had to pay for all sodas and wines, but breakfast was free. The pools were also heated up and stayed open until 8 pm. The children water area also stayed open late, but the wave pool closed at 5pm. There was also one swim up bar at the main pool ( have to pay for drinks )and another bar located near the pool, but it is not a swim up bar.( you also pay for drinks). At the time I stayed there, the resort was very quiet! Both during the day and at night. I heard no loud music or talking etc. There were not many children there either. I stayed there the last week in May, and that may have been the reason why it was very quiet. There were also a lot of sitting areas with chairs and umbrellas around the pool areas. The view of the lush green forest just added Xtra beauty to the resort. I didn't like the fact that 99% of the staff couldn't communicate in English. Therefore, I had to use my phone to Google translate everything. Even when you found one staff member who spoke English, it was still a struggle. I must, however, admit that it was the issue everywhere else and not just the resort. I didn't like the food( that's a personal opinion) . The food was the same menu morning, noon, and night. Very limited variety. I did eat at the mall's food court a few times . I wouldn't recommend that you take all inclusive plan since you can go out to eat for maybe even less than R100 per person. Another thing I didn't like was that you couldn't take the towels to the water park. I had to purchase my towel to go to the water park.

We liked the staff, the location, the resort in general, specially the pools for adults and kids. Breakfast was good, but could be better if coffee was good. In fact, the coffee was terrible. We had a lot of issues at the beginning that were amended. I'll explain it better at "What didn't you like?" section. I'd like to commend specially Mr. Dalmar (Waiter) as he sorted out my bracelet issue that was deactivated, when it should be activated since the check-in and Michele Amanda (Guest Relations Supervisor) for providing us with some treats due the issues we had. Mabu Thermas Grand Resort complaint list: 1. 50 minutes waiting in a cue for check-in (8 staff around doing nothing, 1 doing check out and only 1 doing check-in in a busy afternoon). Outrageous!; 2. There was no crib in the bedroom, that was confirmed beforehand that it'd have one; 3. I had to call hotel's landline to figure out reception's number. The QR code close to the phone led us to the WhatsApp and it took too long to figure out reception's number, so calling the landline was quicker. That was crazy!; 4. Shower was too hot and dangerous for us and specially for our 1 and half year old baby, and too cold (temperamental) at the same time - It happened around 4 times in a 10 minutes shower for all of us (4 = myself, partner, daughter and mother); 5. Air conditioning: a bit too cold + no remote control (I have to get up to change the temperature) + no blankets; 6. Coffee at the breakfast was too bad. It was awful; 7. Bracelet wasn't activated: when we were having a lunch at the first time in the hotel, we were going to get some beverages, but our NFC bracelets were not activated (3 of them), but I was told at the check-in they should be ready to be used. Detail, the restaurant we had this issue was located at the end of the resort, quite far from the reception, where we were recommended initially to go to resolve this issue. Thankfully, Mr. Dalmar sorted out our bracelets issue that were deactivated, when it should be activated since the check-in. 8. Last, but no least: the time wasted complaining. It is unacceptable that a hotel/resort with 4/5 stars had/having all these sort of issues. As a Brazilian living in Australia for 8 years, it is sad for me to see these issues happening. We need to attract more tourists, and not only from Brazil and South America, but all over the world and we need to show the best that we have. Kind regards, Guilherme
