DoubleTree by Hilton - Resort - Foz do Iguaçu

We loved our stay! It is very close to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls. Walking distance to a mall with lots of shopping opportunities. Our boys 4/9 loved the kids club, the staff was super attentive with them. The heated indoor pool was fantastic too, and we enjoyed the complementary sauna as well. Rooms were very clean and quiet. They even provided us with a power outlet adapter during our stay, so I could charge my laptop. Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were delicious and nutritious. Lots of healthy options too. The only thing that come to my mind is that dinner doesn’t start until 7 - which was a little late as our younger son usually has a 7.30 bedtime.

All the staff were very attentive, from the bell boy to the reception desk to the staff at the restaurant. There was an incredible spread at breakfast, lots of fruit, a selection of breads, cakes, pastries, eggs and hot food and a tapioca bar as well. There were some gluten free and lactose free options as well but there was no. oat or almond milk unfortunately. Heaven for kids who enjoy pancakes and nutella! Rooms were large and very comfortable, there was an AC/heating unit that you could adjust and both heating and AC were very effective. Some of our rooms were for disabled, this was very useful for my family. The shower was decent, however, the water did not drain easily in the shower tray. The service at the bar was very slow, it took almost 1 hour to get the pizza and tapoica that we ordered. The coffee machine in my room did not work.

Complimentary breakfast buffet and 3-course dinner was excellent. I asked a front desk clerk about 3 items for my room before I left for a tour in the morning but none were delivered: 1. Sink is missing a stopper. 2. I would like a wash cloth. 3. I would like a box of Kleenex tissue.

Very comfortable location, only 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the iguazu falls. The staff was very helpful, they helped us a lot with calling a taxi to the Argentinian side of the falls, and they kept our backpacks safe while we were gone.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was facilitated in practicing my music in a common area. Nothing to dislike. The place is excelente bad near everything you need to be near.

Good location There were complimentary water and coffee on the first day then you were expected to pay after that. Two bottles of water and two capsules of coffee. I expect and in the majority of cases there is a station where you can boil water and have a hot beverage at no charge. I complained about this and your attendant on the front desk said he would send replacement NORMAL coffee capsules to the room. What I received was undrinkable decaffeinated coffee!!! Coffee cup were not washed and there was general lack of detail from housekeeping

Outdoor area and pools Breakfast was busy and they kept running out of things.

The outdoor spaces were awesome! The location was also very nice! The WiFi didn’t work at all in our room or even the common areas very well. We also got back from a 30 mile bike ride at 3:00pm to find our housekeeping staff just starting our room.

Friendly staff, great facilities. Modern rooms. Breakfast was satisfying. Attention at front desk always available. They provided two cribs for the two rooms we stayed in which was very helpful. Bedsheets were clean and changed 2 times during our stay (5 days). Towels were changed every day. The shower in my room (612) needs maintenance (faucet is not connected very well, ceiling with drywall that's is coming out, shower head could use a clean or replacement all together) also, the window wouldn't open even slightly (it's bolted shut), noisy refrigerator compressor. One of our rooms got complimentary water while the other never got any. The same with coffee tea etc. When I wanted to pay for our stay they ended up charging me in BRL which resulted in higher rate then what I though booking will charge my card (apparently, booking.com don't charge your card, we had to pay in the hotel reception.)

I like this hotel very much, I have stayed here several times. And I would do it again. We had stayed at the hotel because we were running a half marathon at the Iguazu water falls. They did not offer any additional service for this. But that was not the problem. We had asked their travel agency to book a taxi to take my daughter and in laws to the finish line. We had calculated the time they needed to arrive. The taxi was 20 minutes late and our daughter and in laws arrived late to the finish ine and they did not see us cross the line.

Breakfast is quite enough for mornings and the other foods are very good. The room providing is very bad there are only shampoo and soap. The hotel has spa but they are not providing sleeper. you need to use your own. there are bathrobes in the room but you cannot use for going to spa. they are not providing in the room but neither at the spa, too. you cannot find anywhere at the hotel. If you planning to use spa you have to take yours. Other issue is cotton swabs :) they don't have in hotel. I went to massage with suit and they don't show me the changing room. I took off my clothes in massage room:)

Location, comfortable, good food and facilities Price is too high and the service at the pool takes too long.

Bar staff very slow, dont pay attention and services very bad, too long for simple stuff.

I didn't like paying $40 to use the hot tub for an hour that's insanity

The room was spacious and the spa bath was huge. I thought the bed was super comfortable and I loved the massage.... Many of the staff were extremely caring and helpful. When there were minor problems, they were fixed. When there was major issues I was moved to a similar room but with a better view. I loved that the hotel took the fairest and best approach in each situation. The ice they helped me with, to cool down after overheating was a huge kindness. The chocolates brought up when the toilet couldn't be fixed, and I had to change rooms were an especially lovely touch. The main breakfast/dinner room has a form of loud improv jazz music. It might be ok if you were the only one in the room, but when there are dozens of families fighting to be heard over the noise, it becomes awful. Also, the Specialist restaurant is Lebanese food. It looked lovely in there and I would have dearly loved to eat in a nicer room, but I don't like too many spices in my food... it was empty nearly every time it was open, so I guess most people wanted something else. Some of my clothes got wet and I asked the hotel to launder them, unfortunately they used a chemical detergent that was heavily fragranced. I was allergic to it. They promised to switch to a fragrance free option, like their sheets and towels, but after they washed them and rinsed them twice, they were still so fragranced I couldn't wear it and eventually had to throw them out.

The grounds and rooms were beautiful. Beds were comfortable More umbrellas for shade

Old tvs, they are not smart, air coonditioner makes so much noise
