Sea view room very nice and large balcony with furniture and breakfast was included.. Hotel sirs up the hill somewhat and unless you don't mind walking down or back up Hotel is great

My issue mostly is the room is not great. The bed is not very comfortable, and the wifi and electricity went out so many times over just a 2 day stay. And everything you have to reconnect the wifi, multiple times a day to put in password etc. shower not very strong. Food in the restaurant was very good but also very pricey and took an hour!! So come with lots of patience if there.

Staff and management were friendly, kind, attentive and helpful. Always with a smile and willing to help. Luckily the hotel has a generator, which is very important as there are frequent power outages. Wifi is pretty well non-existent. It was offered and available but rarely worked. There was a church conference during my stay that took over both pool areas. Loungers were removed, long banquet tables were set up, one pool was even closed entirely for a whole day culminating in a nighttime party that continued with very loud music and noise until midnight.

Hotel Barmoi is located on the coast near Lumley Beach. The rooms vary in quality with the "deluxe" rooms in the newer wing having better views and more natural light. I recommend paying the extra money for the deluxe option after staying in both classes of rooms. The hotel provides a free breakfast buffet every morning and the restaurant serves Indian and international fare throughout the rest of the day. The two pools are cleaned frequently and there is a small gym where getting a decent workout is possible. I stayed at Hotel Barmoi for over a week and enjoyed my stay thanks to the excellent staff. Traveler tip: If you're arriving by ferry from the airport or from Conakry, take advantage of the hotel's free pickup service to avoid the chaos at the port.

Beautiful view of the ocean from the room

Staff are excellent. Special shout out to the efficient dining room/ breakfast staff! As well the front desk people were very helpful and kind. My room was huge with a newly renovated bathroom, and patio. Food in the hotel restaurant was very tasty. Would highly recommend! Nothing

Thought snacks at front desk were complimentary. They are not ?

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff work hard to give it a family atmosphere, and are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the place is spotlessly clean. It's not as glitzy as the very big hotels, but it's a lot more congenial (and obviously not as expensive). It also has a more relaxed, local atmosphere. The breakfast is wonderful. Definitely my go-to hotel in Freetown. The access isn't brilliant. It's close to Lumley Beach, but not on usual transport routes.

Barmoi is a hidden gem. The food was exceptional, the staff were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much to ask. From the front desk team to the restaurant staff to the housekeeping folks we had a really good rapport and a very pleasant stay. Wifi was actually available throughout the hotel which is not the case for some. Really good value for money! The pressure in the showers could have been better, but that was a small glitch in our stay at the hotel.

The staff is nice and helpful you fill your self welcome and value for the money munching. I recommend the place ?

The staff is wonderful. They are friendly and very helpful. We had an early departure and they made us a hot breakfast to take with us as well as offering us free transportation to the Sea Coach terminal. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and had a nice view. The sprayer for the toilet has a leak so our bathroom floor was wet.

Exceptional

Clean, good views, good AC, friendly staff, serene and away from city noise. Desk staff did not know a lot about ferries, travel, or tourist sites, but it’s okay; we figured it out.

The hospitality... The long wait for our food at the restaurant...

Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Manager checked on me when I first got there. I utilized their laundry and printing services and they were efficient and good quality work. There is quite a bit of maintenance going on, but it only affects the common area and restaurant, so nothing terrible. The road to get to the hotel was pretty washed out.
