Loved the full experience.

The ryokan is perfectly located, offering a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji through its large windows, which allow guests to fully enjoy the scenery. But staying here is so much more than just the view. The rooms are beautiful, with every detail curated with the utmost care in true Japanese tradition. The onsen is incredibly relaxing, and the traditional Japanese breakfast is excellent. But the best part is Hiromi and her team’s hospitality. They are genuinely kind and caring, and our stay here became one of the most heartwarming experiences we have ever had. Highly recommended! nothing at all!

I loved my stay here! It was wonderful to get a more authentic Japanese experience. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was so so friendly and helpful. I loved the onsen experience, it was very clean and incredibly relaxing. The breakfast was delicious, probably one of the best breakfast experience that I had in Japan. The view was incredible from the room, I was lucky to be able to see Mt Fuji. If I go back I would definitely stay here again. Nothing.

My daughter is expecting, so I wanted to make sure she was always comfortable and safe as we traveled through Japan, her last big trip before the baby. The Taiheikan was perfect! The wonderful owners treated us like family. Anything we needed, any questions we had, they were there for us. This is a small, family-run hotel, and it is pure Japan - not a bit western! We loved it. The room was huge and airy, with big picture windows, lots of natural light and - a view of Mt Fuji. The futons were so comfortable! They provided the Yukata robes for the on-site hot springs mineral baths - the Onsen. I have never felt so relaxed! And the Japanese breakfast was delicious. Glad to pay the small extra fee. Add to that, when we arrived, they picked us up at the Kawaguchiko Station, drove us to the hotel, and drove us back when we left. One more thing, their pre-arrival communication was excellent. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and comprehensively. I want to go back! This was real Japan, with all its charm, hospitality and culture. Thank you! I liked everything! I just wish I could have stayed much longer!

Host was exceptional. We made an error in our travel time and the host stayed up 2 hours past check in to let us in with a smile.

Top tier hospitality! Hiromi was so friendly and helpful, she even learnt common words in our language to welcome us. They picked us up and sent us to the airport. The room was big and comfortable, and the onsen facility was clean and well kept. Yukatas were provided. Breakfast was a nice experience of homecooked food. Definitely a good experience staying at a traditional Ryokan which seemed family-run, with much personal touch!

The room, view, and breakfast were exceptional for the price. Wonderful hospitality and foreigner-friendly staff! The only downside is the lack of private bathrooms. If you are uncomfortable with a shared hot spring, you may encounter some difficulties during crowded seasons.

The staff was fantastic. Super friendly and welcoming. Very helpful when it came to getting around (they'll pick you up and drop you off at the train station). The facility was very clean, especially the shower/onsen area. The view from my room of Fujisan was spectacular. The provided breakfast was also really good. They lock the doors between 11PM and 6AM. Not a big deal for me since I turned in early, but if you plan on being out late or early it may be a problem.

The view is supposed to be wonderful when the weather is nice and you can see the Mt Fuji from the room. The staff were super welcome and even offered to drop me off at the Kawaguchiko station after the check out. Onsen was also divine. I can go on and on…I’ll def come back next time! Nothing at all.

Our stay at Taiheikan was superb! The family who owns the property was so welcoming and made our stay unforgettable. The room was cozy and had an amazing view while being authentic to the culture. The onsen facilities were relaxing and amazing! The breakfast was carefully crafted and overall we felt very cared for. There are no complaints at all about the property! I would recommend it to anyone looking to explore Mt Fuji and have a comfortable stay.
