Room was clean, view was so relaxing on the river. I didn't get to use the pool this time but looked very nice. Breakfast was decent, several options. Would stay there again

Nice stay

We loved our stay at the Brookside. The balcony looked over the rushing brook that was both beautiful and relaxing. The location of the lodge was a short convenient walk into downtown. The rustic decor of the rooms added to its charm. It was also very affordable with breakfast included. It was a pleasant surprise all around and we look forward to staying again in the future.

We stayed on the fourth floor and overlooked the river. There was not a noise issue when the door was closed so it was nice to be able to open the door and see the river and hear it as you like. The room was clean and comfortable. Strangely with there was no ice bucket, but there was an ice machine on the property. The pool with hot tub and slide was decent and the staff was courteous. Free popcorn in the lobby was tasty and Louis the bird was adorable.

Staff was really nice during breakfast that is about it. Property is very run down. We stayed week of Aug 16th 2026. Inside security door latch was removed, shower /tub caulking worn away and mildewed, shower ceiling cracked and gapped, toilet leaking all over, several light bulbs out, remote didn't work to TV, shower head dripped constantly, only provided 2 towels for four people, only had half roll of toilet paper. Requested more towels and toilet paper and had to go to office to retrieve them ourselves. Neighbors smoked pot and filled the room with smoke even though we were in non smoking rooms. The bed frame was broken and metal railing was sticking out, had to pay attention to avoid hurting our ankles when getting in and out of bed. We ended up leaving early. Called to ask about and item left behind (toothbrush charger) and they never returned my call. Would not recommend.

Great location to national park and down town area

The hotel was certainly worth the money. It was clean and the room was large. The stream running through the back of the hotel was really relaxing. We saw two bears on the property. The shuttle is right there. We would stay here again.

I come to Gatlinburg annually and always stay at Brookside. I love the balconies and the firepit!!

The rooms need a little updating. They are clean but the walls were scratched up. The cabinet door in the bathroom would not shut. The smell of marijuana was pretty strong outside of several rooms we passed to get to our room.

Huge room. Great creek view. Really high ceilings. Location good for street walk to restraunts etc. Will go there again.

We stayed 2 nights in the Honeymoon suite. We had everything we needed but does need a little tlc, (paint on ceiling, light bulbs replaced)There was lots of space in the room, ample parking, comfy beds and pillows, great balcony, and although the pool and hot tub were very nice, adult hours would be nice to have a little time without a ton of kids running around. Maybe keep it open later too. The room decor is beautiful, well made furniture that is perfect for the area. Lots of places to sit and relax at the property, fire pits, swings, chairs, ect. Breakfast was the same both days but food was good and fresh, beautiful room to have breakfast and stocked well. Would definitely stay again.

Good place for the price. Walking distance to Gatlinburg strip
-
Great place great people and you will see the bears

I don't know. It was good for what I needed it for. Not sure I'd stay again though, at least not in a similar room. Other rooms had windows to the brook.

I would concur with the other reviews the property needs an update. paint was peeling in the bathroom ceiling. The towels did not have a pleasant smell but they were clean. Also the carpet I would agree needs to be replaced or cleaned.

Older property located off a main roadway. Staff is very nice and helpful, Rooms have balconies overlooking a very active creek. Pool area is very nice too.
-
I had to remind my self I was sharing the space in nature. Rooms was clean inside and lots of nature outside. Had the opportunity to see two bears roaming outside.
-
The grounds were clean. Room had a rustic feel. No complaints.
