City Garden Ghent

A very affordable price given its excellent location! The Market Square is walkable to within less than 5 minutes! Room is well-spaced and clean. AC is a plus! Breakfast included too. Although I missed it daily. Supermarket within 2 minutes. Felt more like American motels. My room was in another building within 2 minutes from the main hotel. This can be very confusing! Early check in before 3 PM, or early check out after 11 a.m. costs €10 per hour (Max at 2P.M.).

This hotel was spotless. We were situated across the road and the entrance was stunning. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The aircon was a life-saver as it was approx 39degs when I arrived! We were able to leave our bags while we were waiting on the room and could get changed to go for some lunch. We didn't avail of breakfast as we were travelling early in the mornings. Again, the rooms were stunning and I would love to revisit. The only small hiccup was that when we went to check out we almost missed our tram due to no one being at the desk! But, we are aware that these things happen and sometimes one person ends up doing an assortment of jobs, and the lady was super nice. We didn't want to just drop the key incase it was stolen/ went missing so maybe a little checkout box would be handy. Overall incredible stay!

Extremely comfortable bed (even though it was smaller than anticipated), the ac was great too since the room got quite warm very quickly. The location was also great, right in the city center yet not in a busy street. The bathroom wall was open at the top, so you could hear EVERYTHING going on I there, from brushing teeth to taking a shower and, unfortunately, even going to the toilet, not great if you are sharing a very small room. It would have also been nice to maybe have some storage space in the bathroom, even if it was just a small open shelf to put our toiletries

Good location to walk everywhere, big room Confused about check in which was across the street but they did email with instructions which I missed.

The wifi availability inside the rooms could be better. Poor strength resulting in call dropouts

Great location less than 100 yds from historic centre ... rooms were decent size with coffee provided lighting in rooms could have been better , rooms were a little functional and quite pricey

Very close to the city center and close to one of the best Italian places in the city (Osteria Delicati). We got an upgrade to the suite which is really nice and spacious, can recommend. We had a room on the street side so during the night it got quite noisy.

The location is the only positive point I could find. Reception was in a diferent building. Then the rooms were not well indicated inside the building. Air conditioning machines outside made a lot of noise. And even the fan coil inside the room as well. And in our case, the shower’s thermostat was not working well.

Location We paid for the suite and we’re expecting a bigger room with a bigger bed. It was not even a King size! We were also expecting a welcome drink or some fruit and other amenities in the room. We asked for some flexibility for the check out and again nothing. Very disappointing for the price paid

The location close to the centre of Ghent and its facilities and the ease of getting around the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a clean, convenient hotel. I’m not sure we realised that the City Garden was an annexe to the main Hotel de Flandre. We spent quite a lot of time looking for it - there were no notices. The rooms are very modern and very dark! They were quite cold under foot with Lino rather than carpet. Great in a hot summer but not so good in December

Near the centrum quiet clean Toilet needs to be totaly separeted from the bedroom
