Great staff, far from noisy streets

Wombat's is tucked away in a silent lane of the otherwise party island of Gili T. Run by Gary and his family, Wombat's isn't a hotel and nor does it pretend to be. Wombat's is decidedly a cost effective B & B, so if you're looking for room service, concierge services and other such luxuries, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a quiet getaway without loud music or annoying neighbours talking loudly on the phone, then this is definitely the place for you. It's a very cute, cozy property that you're expected to respect and treat like you would your own by turning off lights, fans and ACs when not in use, asking for fresh towels/room cleaning only if/when you require it. I'd definitely recommend for those who can respect and follow their rules. For me the only thing was the fan in my room was quite noisy and the AC wasn't cooling properly, so I had to have both on. But again, keeping in mind the price of the room, it was easy to make peace with this tiny inconvenience.

Warm-hearted helpful family is running the place. Rooms are very spacious and clean, bathroom is large and hot water. Top location, quiet, a little oasis. Beach can be reached quickly by foot or bicycle, which can be rented at the hostel. All in all, I can only recommend Wombat's! ----

I had a lovely stay for three weeks at Wombat. The owner, his family and the guys who worked there are very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms and a beautiful garden. 10 out of 10 from me:).

Been the 3rd time here staying for certain time. Always nice and comfortable

From the centre and Harbour it is 25 minutes walk but closer to turtle point and sunset Beach. Upon arrival the staff didn't check our room. Fan and Aircon both were not working and also there was a cat under our bed. On the 2nd night fan completely stopped and we had to sleep without it.

Nice room, location is pretty good, and you can use the neighboring small resort pool with the purchase of a drink. The internet here was just terrible, really to the point of being basically non-functional. If you need to do much more than check your email via WiFi, don’t stay here.

The location was fine. They had rental bikes to go around the island. The room was of decent size and the bed was comfortable. No body wash nor basic equipment was provided (only hand wash and shampoo). The room was very basic (but comfortable).

Basic clean good sized rooms. Very pleasant friendly staff. Good location for us being away from the busy areas but still close enough.

Clean and comfortable stay. The table space at the bathroom sink was useful for keeping toiletries. A desk and chair was provided. Property is located on the quieter side of the island, about 30 mins walk from the harbour. The place was expensive for what you got, not that it was bad, but I would have wanted more for that price. We booked last minute so did not have many options. The aircon could have been more powerful.

Chose not to buy the breakfast option. Quiet tropical location. Lovely porch and whitewash furniture inside. Use of pool and restaurant next door a saviour. Room was very tired and old looking. Needs a face-lift, new towels and bedding and sheets. Nothing was changed or bins emptied the 3 days we were there. Had to ask for more toilet paper. Seems the teenage son was left to run the place. Friendly enough.

Loved my stay here I actually ended up extending by 2 more days, the staff make you feel like family the rooms are comfortable with hot showers and it’s in the quiet side of the island away from the loud mosques & party streets which is blissful! They can help you rent bikes if needed also and it’s just a 5 min cycle ride from the sunset side of the island. I took surf lessons at Lighthouse Surf School and it was perfect location for this. Thanks team - see you very soon again ?

It could be better with a toilet sprayer and a TV

It was a wonderful stay. The stuff is really attentive and the host take care of their accommodation! We are happy to had such a good host ! Afterwards we saw many others on the beach that was not good taken care for.. ask them for anything and you always have the best advice and price. Thank you for keeping us happy and relaxed during our stay :-)

We loved our stay here. We stayed with our 3 children and it was perfect. The family room is spacious and clean and well presented. Garry and his family were lovely and very helpful. It is in a fantastic location to explore the island and is very quiet and peaceful. Couldn’t recommend them enough!
