Hotel Maxwell Anderson

Property with great access to old down town and other amenities. Room 329 good bed but small(little cramped, sink very small, no view).

We were given a room that you had to wheel your luggage cart down the sidewalk/street away from the main hotel so definitely an odd experience. This unfortunately was not advertised in the listing. Once in the room you are are at eye level to a public sidewalk/street and feel like you are in a fishbowl. If you like a hotel room where you have to keep the shades closed this would work for you. If you like to enjoy the view and natural light definitely take a pass. It was fine for a quick overnight but would definitely choose the Hotel Colorado, Hot Springs Lodge or one of the other many hotels in the area. Parking was full so you have to park on the street. Cleaning appeared to be fine on the surface but the floors were sticky so the floors clearly not cleaned prior to our stay.

This was the most expensive night of our trip. And the worst. Room 227 should have to pay the guest to stay in this room. Very noisy, only thing to see out the window is the very large mechanical unit. Letting pets on hardwood floors is just stupid. The room and bathroom were so small. The bed was horrible. This night was the worst night we have ever had ion vacation.

Power went out at the hotel and had to leave hotel without refund. Extremely disappointing.

Enjoyed staying in this historic hotel that has been recently renovated. Great location, helpful staff and nice common area. Rooms were a little small, but good for sleeping and getting ready.

Great location to walk to hot springs and local food. Not many amenities, but a good location to get around.

Beautiful, convenient hotel directly across from the train Depot. Very close to great restaurants in the area a comfortable hotel to come back to in the evening.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, there was a power outage on our 2nd night. An unpleasant memory in an otherwise beatiful location.

This hotel is in an excellent location, has super friendly and helpful staff. A couple of issues are that they don't clean the rooms unless requested. There were not enough towels or amenities for a 4 night stay, so we were having to clean our coffee cups, ask for more towels etc. They gave us everything we needed right away and we did request cleaning after two days. Their rooms are not all as you see in the pictures....quite a variety from the old section to the additions and the newer section that we were in. Our room was nice but small, had only one small desk chair and no place to put your suitcase except on the floor. Food close by was excellent.

Clean. Beautiful hotel and room. The bed was comfortable. Located in a great spot. The coffee shop and brewery attached are wonderful. If you can take a small drive- also recommend visiting Tiny Pine Bistro in Carbondale.

Hotel Maxwell Anderson clean, quiet, and conveniently located near restaurants and the hot springs. Coffee shop in house and pub/grill next door were bonus offerings. We also appreciated the parking lot a block away for $20/night.

Our company staff stayed at Hotel Maxwell Anderson and it was beautiful! We love Wild Coffee right in the lobby. Would highly recommend!
