It was perfect for sleeping here while visiting family all in the Grand Rapids area. The breakfast was delicious and super convenient! The pool was closed for renovations.

The fact that I was refunded. The second floor smelled like dog urine mixed with dirty socks, the carpet is dirty, felt very ghetto

Location , easy off highways Our bathroom smelled like urine. There was some kind of juice or goo on the door of the room on the inside. There was also some kind of white substance on the headboard. We went to Myers and bought a bunch of sanitizing wipes after the staff said they could not change our room. And we just kept the bathroom door shut as much as possible.

I arrived at the property about 5pm and there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign saying they would be back in 10+minutes. I stood there waiting about 15 minutes just to check in. When I finally got the keys, the room was on the third floor and my keys didn't work. I went back to the front desk; she reprogrammed my keys and I went back up the elevator to my room. My keys still did not work. I went back down to the front desk a third time, reprogrammed the keys the third time. Went back up and they still didn't work. Finally, someone came up there with me and programmed the keys while I was standing at the door to the room. The whole entire third floor was under construction; there were bags by each door on the floor that looked to be replacement parts from each room. Upon entering the room, I noticed the carpet was filthy. The drapes were missing some of the hooks and barely closed enough to cover the windows. I was supposed to get a 2 Queen Bed, Accessible. It was supposed to have a bench in the shower. The room I received was a 2 Queen Bed with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was semi-opened, and the cushions were standing on end propped up against the back of the sofa. No bench in the shower. The bathroom shower assembly appeared to be new; I had a heck of a time getting the water to go up to the shower head. I had to push the lever up and down 3 different times and it finally worked. There was only decaf coffee in my room. The good thing was the breakfast they served.

They warned us ahead of time that the door to our rooms were broke and wouldn’t lock besides the latch part.. offered us to go somewhere else if we weren’t comfortable because the maintenance man wasn’t able to come till the next day. Other wise had everything we needed for staying less then 12 hours !

Property was clean & in a good location. Room phone didn’t work, doors didn’t lock on the whole 3rd floor so we had to bring our belongings with us every time we left the room. Also the pool was under maintenance. It felt like literally everything was broken.

We were comfortable for our weekend stay. This hotel just needs some updating. Our toilet handle had to be wiggled after each flush and the showerhead definitely needs to be replaced. Several stains on the carpet in the hallway. On the plus side, we were close to the venue that we were attending for the weekend, and we thought the price was reasonable.

I booked this hotel mainly because the reviews were decent. Upon my arrival, the entry was fine, checkin was a bit slow but I was taken care of in less than 20 minutes. I should’ve known to trust my instincts as I arrived to the hallway to get to the elevator. There was a musty smell coming from the carpet but there was urine smell in the elevator. I get to my room and do a room check, and it was not cleaned as thoroughly as I would have liked. The tub still had dirt and there was hair in the sink. Blood on the walls, the sheets and hair on the pillows. As I’m getting ready to head back down to the front desk, I noticed my wrist was starting to swell. Something had bitten me! Not sure what It was, all I knew was that I was NOT staying there.

The room was not the cleanest. The mirror was filthy the corners of the rooms were dirty. The drain was very clogged and the water pressure was very low. We did appreciate the staff giving us food after the hours. No place to hang towels and when we asked for more they were not delivered. We had to go down and get them.

Overall, many of the cleanliness issues on their own would not have bothered us. But it added up pretty quick. The security of the door was very difficult as we were constantly worried each time we left that we would come back to missing items. I feel bad for the staff as they were all so nice. But they are working in a sinking ship. I will not return to this hotel and would implore you to avoid it as well. Comfort Choice prices at below Red Roof Inn quality.
