Room was lovely and clean - the staff went above and beyond with our request and we felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The hotel is beautiful and we decided in the future to book a longer stay to make sure we have the opportunity to try out all facilities. We arrived 15 mins before check in and could not check in early. It really isnt very bad, or very inconvenient but we hoped 15 mins wouldn't be much of an issue to check in early.

The location is simply magnificent. The castle itself is set in beautiful grounds with breathtaking views of the estuary. A highlight was the charming coastal path that leads you to the village in just 15 minutes. We stayed in a standard double room in the Rock House, which was a wonderfully quiet and comfortable haven. Great breakfast buffet. A helpful tip for future guests: we hadn't realized when booking that our room was in a cottage on the grounds, not in the main castle. We didn't look closely enough at all the photos. Our room was lovely and very comfortable, but if you're dreaming of a room inside the castle itself, make sure to double-check the accommodation details before you book. While our dinner in the restaurant was enjoyable, it didn't feel as special as the rest of our stay. We felt it was good, but not a "must-do." If we were to return, we'd likely explore the local restaurants for our evening meal.

Location, rooms, spa, breakfast. Some Member of staff of reception and restaurant bit slow and not really bothered at times sounded rude if you asked questions on food or general questions in reception. Spa member of staff very pleasant.

Beautiful old building, roaring fire in the lounge. We had a superior double room with sea view which was great. We would stay again. The only down side was the shower was not powerful enough. .

Staff were excellent and food was very good also the outside was beautiful. The room we got initially was very noisy. Even after being given another room it was smaller and very difficult to access.
