Solway Lodge Hotel

The room was clean and had all i needed. The staff were friendly and helpful All good

Room was lovely and fantastic breakfast, there was a wedding function on that day so a little loud but never complain about people having fun Serving food later 8pm cut off

The Breakfast was nice, it was convenient for our party at a nearby hotel Rooms were outside hotel, i much prefer to be in the main hotel, but wernt made aware of this beforehand. Pillows on bed were hard and flat, mirror light didn't work in bathroom. Window and frame was dirty. Furniture was tatty and shabby in room. Walls were thin and you could clearly hear every word from residents in adjacent room. Not very private.

The restaurant was fab, lovely food. Staff were friendly. Room was lovely and comfortable. Nothing, it was all good

The staff were brilliant and the food was such good value for money. Our room was very clean We have stayed here many times before and everything was excellent, this time was very different, we were staying in room 18 and it was right above the extractor fan for the kitchen which had a buzzing noise so it disturbed our sleep. The second night there was a reception party and the extractor fan

Returning once again as always staff and food excellent The location to the centre is very good

Location The picture is deceiving. Looks like a beautiful building but did not stay in this building. There was a row of units at the back that we were in. It was clean and beds comfortable but if you think you might stay in guest house, think again!

The location for visiting Gretna Green was ideal, also the rooms were clean and well equipped. I have no negative’s to comment on.

Parking accessible. The shower was hot and miss with hot water, was cold more often than warm. Bed was uncomfortable. Could not get out of the building on an evening, no explanation on how to exit the building on an evening. Staff on entering to check in was not available had to go searching for a member of staff.

Location was great. Plenty of free parking. Room had wardrobe & plenty of drawers. Was clean. Has evening meals & breakfast. The food was great. Lovely bar area. The staff were helpful & friendly Can hear humming noise in room 18 when kitchen below in operation. Starts at 7am. Shower is a little tight for larger people
