During our three-night stay, our room was never cleaned, which was disappointing. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, and the furniture, while intended to match the castle's historic theme, appeared old, worn, and frayed. We also found the food in the restaurant to be bland and lacking flavor. The property itself is beautiful and worth seeing, but the overnight accommodations and overall service did not meet our expectations.

Mr. Ruben Fonseca , the food and Beverage Manager, organized my daughter’s Quinceañera party in just a couple of weeks. The party was wonderful! My family loved the venue, the setup, the food, service, and everything else. The party is unforgettable memory for my daughter ? Thank you! It rained in the afternoon, so we couldn’t take photos in the hotel gardens, but that was not the hotel’s fault. Mr. Fonseca happy to help and allowed us to return to take the photos as a courtesy.

The building and grounds are amazing and well kept inside and out. Well worth a visit. The room was huge and we loved the details. The view at sunset of the entire town was beautiful. The front desk was very helpful. The dresser was completely broken. The bedspreads and chairs were stained. The TV remote was broken and so was the replacement they gave us.

We liked the castle from outside, the rooms are not to good The rooms very incomfortable and the bath room very little of the cold water come out

It looks pretty on the outside but the inside is very outdated and scary. No elevator and the rooms were super outdated.

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

Nothing. Very rundown. Patio door didn’t lock, plaster falling off the walls, curtains in shreds, mattress smaller than base, dirty and closet drawers didn’t open or close.

The outside its beautiful and the gardens and common areas The rooms are old, moldy, bathroom shower was moldy Walls had mold

the staff in the restaurant went out of their way to serve us lunch when they were closed. That was appreciated. The building is lovely (old castle) The room was not very clean, towels inferior, the toilet plugged with every flush. My travelling companion had no towels in her room, and was told she had to pick them up herself at the desk.

Dirty place, it needs cleaning. I stayed 5 days the sheets were never changed. It wasl always the same Dirty bed sheet with blood stains. The pillows were there since the hotel was built. Horrible place. It needs cleaning I understand its old, but the cleaning doesn't have anything to do with old. The shower didn't drain. Horrible experience. The rooms was very cold. I asked for extra blankets and was told by front desk personnel that he didn't have a key for the storage. There was bed bugs. On the side of the mattress there were a lot of crumbs/dirt. It needs a lot of cleaning!!!!

Location was very central and the historical nature of the hotel with view of the city They have been updating this facility for years and haven't made any progress. The bathroom had no screen on the window, no changes for older people with luggage to get to their room, no coffee pot, refrigerator, tissue, washcloths, phone, etc. in the room. No place to get food at the hotel, water, snacks, etc. There is a dining room but not open early or later.

Tattered and old, showers had no hot water, reception provided one bottle of water and refused us a second. The restaurant has a 3.0 star rating which is telling. Quiet though at night since few people were there See above

The interior of the hotel needs a lot of attention as it is very neglected. The rooms urgently need renovation, including the beds, furniture, and televisions, and the doors also need immediate repair.

Wow, great use of a historical building. My room was as big as an apartment. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant in house, breakfast is limited menu. Taxi to zocalo only 80 pesos. That i only spent 2 nights.

Only the outside of the building to take pictures. It’s incredibly dirty. Sheets and towels and brown and supposed to be white. Curtains are almost on the floor.

The castle fascade was the most interesting part of the entire stay. The facilities smelled like mold, the room was Not clean or maintained well. The furniture was stained and torn. There were exposed cables and nails.

The castle is amazing, really cool Staff left somewhat to be desired, while they did their job, they were a bit apathetic
