Great location, simple but clean rooms, good size and comfortable for my son and I. Nada - stairs to second floor a bit tedious with suitcases but not a big deal.

Superb location. Helpful staff. Safe. Quiet considering central location. Breakfast dishes weren’t always very clean.

No windows in the room, to dark

Bathroom could use a re-model. There was no space to put your toiletries near the sink.

There was no on site parking, though I screened for this using Boooking.com. Maybe a couple more pillows would be nice.

The shower was very weak. Motorcycles went by at random times making a very loud noise. Breakfast was OK but unpredictable - sometimes they had bread and rolls and sometimes not.

Close proximity to everything in the Centro, plazas, food. Super accessible to everything you’ll want to see in the old city. Room descriptions should include whether the rooms have a window or not. Alternatively, list the rooms by their names since the entire places has a few rooms.

The place is very well located in the city centre and it felt very safe. Although I was travelling with family, I would say it’s also safe enough for female solo travellers. The hotel was clean, and the person at the front desk was very friendly and polite. One of the beds was very large and extremely comfortable. The other double bed was a bit smaller, so it might not be as comfortable for taller or larger people. Breakfast was really nice. The coffee, fruit, juices, cereal, yoghurt, bread, and coffee and other drinks provided were all of very good quality and constantly topped up. We were a group of four, so we were assigned a 2-bed room in the basement. The room was spacious and clean, but the main issue was the humidity. When we arrived, the room smelled slightly musty, and we quickly realized there was a humidity problem. There was a large dehumidifier in the room, but after the first night, it was already full. This is not the best option if you have respiratory issues or are sensitive to humid environments. When I booked, I filtered specifically for places with parking, and this hotel appeared in the results. However, there is no parking on the premises, which I found a bit misleading. I understand that on-site parking is difficult to find in the center of Guanajuato, but we did see other hotels nearby that did have it. To be fair, the hotel does mention (lower on the listing) that they offer valet parking for an extra fee (300 MXN per day or 20 MXN per hour), and they also send a message before arrival with this information. Since I booked via the app and relied on the “parking” filter, I didn’t notice the fine print at the time, so I’ll be more careful next time. I also didn’t see their messages early enough because I was travelling. In the end, we didn’t use the valet service and parked at the second suggested option instead, since it was cheaper. Although it looked close on the map, we still needed to take an Uber because it is not a flat location and we had bags, so keep that in mind if you’re travelling by car. Before we arrived, they sent several messages asking for our exact arrival time. I’m not sure why, since reception was staffed 24-hours. They may have wanted to warn us that the valet parking is only available until 8 PM, but that could have been communicated directly without repeatedly requesting our arrival time. I found this somewhat annoying since I was travelling around without a very strict schedule, and I do not want to be answering messages while I am on holiday. We also struggled with the Wi-Fi.

Location was great. The room had a spacious layout with a separate dressing room and bathroom. It was more like staying in an old-fashioned apartment than a hotel. Very charming details in the room. The estudiantinas troubadours singing every night directly underneath our window was unexpected. While the tradition is lovely and great fun for the participants, we did not expect it to be so very loud in our room.

We were not aware how noisy the place is at night. It was impossible to sleep with the music outside. The music is part of the city's traditions, so there is nothing the hotel can change about it. But this is not a place to rest. Also, the rooms downstairs have a sewage smell, which I've noticed in other old buildings.
