La Madernassa Resort - Casalora Dimora Storica di Charme

I have been in this place before and now it looks much better, the room I got was excellent and well kept. I particularly like the breakfast. Everything is a la carte. This is a much more sustainable alternative to the classic buffet and gives clients a much better experience. Staff is friendly and attentive. Another aspect that I liked is the location. The property is located on a charming hill but very close to Alba (6/7 minutes by car). This is perfect if you need to visit the city on regular basis as I did during my stay. To access my room I had to go up a very steep staircase. Not a big problem but it could be for older guests and/or disables. Not sure if they also have accessible rooms. This is probably something to check out with the property. The other element that I believe could be improved is the gym. Very small and with a very limited and not particularly useful set of equipment. Management could add some cable machines (simple ones) and free weights / kettlebells.

Breakfast really good. Pillow really comfortable. Bed is comfortable. Reception ladies are very friendly. One of the ladies remembered what i ordered, impressed me. Room space is big. Soundproof not good, easily to hear next door guests talking. Ants on the floor in the bathroom. If after 11am, guests still in the room, no cleaning the room of the day. Bathroom old style since it is old house renovated.

The place is simply beautiful. We were running late for check-in and they kept on waiting for us. There is no way to control the air-conditioning in the room, and there was a night the room was freezing. The bed had only a fitted sheet and a quilt, no flat sheet, and the breakfast was ok, the biscuits were the same for 3 days, and the slice of cake was dry. Otherwise everything was great

I had a great experience at this resort. Great value for money providing a luxury-like experience in a wonderful location. Peaceful setting and great facilities available. Great classy breakfast also. I will be back.

Lovely building and rooms. Welcome was warm and efficient. Pool was nice. Room and bed were very comfortable and large. Breakfast was superb, with so much choice and excellent quality. Nothing was too much to ask, very good service. Sign posting of the location is confusing and does not correspond to the name of the hotel that we booked. Whilst the room was modern and fresh, the bathroom was dated and could do with a refresh. The minibar was quite loud and as it is open in the room became quite an intense noise when going to sleep.

It's a wonderful resort, small but beautifully decorated, quiet and still gives you a sense of pampering.

We didn't like the jacuzzi cause of the cold water, the gym was not equipped properly, reception and restaurant staff was not polite
