Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Gurnee, IL

The elevator doesn’t have a pleasant smell nor was their any type of ventilation in the elevator cart. The bathroom in our room didn’t have any hand soap to wash hands. I did noticed the lamps by bedside a bit dusty, maybe they can remember to dust or wipe down there as well. Pillows were small seemed more like decorative pillows. One bed sheet looked like it had a wet spot stain. Also the curtains need a wash. They are stained. There were a lot of channels in television that weren’t included unable to watch. Water in the breakfast fountain machine taste like chlorine.

The room was fine; dated but clean. The rest of the property was underwhelming. Dirty carpet going up the stairs, filthy elevator. I won’t be returning.

Good lighting around the building, when we went it was raining but they had a bridge by the door that kept us dry. A lot of cracks on the pavement. Some of the staff ( Room service) wanted to kick us out before the check out time and got mad when we opposed. Elevators were a bit sketchy but okay.

This hotel is super run down. Not the cleanest. The breakfast is the worst we’ve had and we’ve stayed at many hotels!

Pleasant

Closeness to my son. The bed was like trying to sleep on a sack of rocks that roll around. No bacon at breakfast.

Checkin was very easy. The room was clean and very comfortable. No issues.

I liked that the property was close to the six flags. It was very convenient. The price was good as well. For the most part the hotel staff was friendly. There were very noticeable stains in the carpet in the hallways. The ceiling on our room also had stains. One of the pillows we had in our room was clearly more dingy looking compared to the other pillows in our room. The beds were not comfy, we could feel the springs while we slept. The room as a whole seemed okay. My biggest annoyance was we booked a room for four people for two days. However our room only had three towels. I went down to the desk to ask for more. The gentleman behind the desk was on the computer and eating, fine no big deal. I asked for more towels, he gets up to go to the back room, I could see just a pile of towel (looked dirty to me) and he looks around for a bit while also glancing at me to see if I’m watching, then says we have none clean they are in the dryer you’ll have to come back in a hour. Okay fine. We went back down multiple times after than even into the morning and no one was at the desk to assist. It was about 8:30-9 the next morning when we were finally able to get more towels.

Easy to check in and lots of breakfast choices. Last minute room changes due to facility issues with the room . My children disliked having one bed and sleeper sofa rather than two queen beds.

The hotel was ok, nothing spectacular. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and go this may work well for you. Breakfast was disappointing compared to other Country Inn and suites, felt more like a Super 8 breakfast.

The building and room were a little outdated, but clean. Also, the elevator randomly broke down while we were there. Which was not the staff’s fault, but is definitely because of a lack of maintenance.

I was disappointed that it seemed a little run down. I have been staying at country inn since my kids were little and this hotel seemed like it was a bit run down

Room was very clean... There were no towels in the bathroom...I didn't notice until I went to take a shower shortly before I left. I had arrived very late the night before and had just gone straight to bed.

The hotel was a little smaller than what I expected. Overall it was a nice stay.

It was ok
