The food and the staff. The communication speed and shuttle service.

We loved the private onsen and the delicious course meals prepared for dinner and breakfast. The place was also very cozy and the staff were all accommodating and polite. We highly recommend this place!

The room was sparkling clean. Very comfortable and accommodating staff. Transportation is limited to the bus stop close to the hotel. I wish they are more flexible to drop off/pick up guests from Gora or Odawara.

Was dated and far away from transportation

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

We enjoyed the private onsen, the size of the room, and the included dinner/breakfast. The walk uphill from the bus stop was a little intense so be prepared!

The staff were extremely professional and friendly throughout our stay. The Japanese breakfast was excellent, and both the Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu dinners were delicious. The hotel is also conveniently located near the museum and Ropeway station. The location is a little far from the train station. However, the hotel provides a convenient shuttle bus service, which helps offset the distance.

Excellent stay, beautiful room! Great dinner and breakfast. The hot tub was an amazing experience

Wonderful onsen hotel in the mountains near Hakone. Staff was very friendly, with impressive English language skills. We loved both the private open-air bath on our balcony and our time in the larger private open-air bath. Dinner and breakfast were spectacular, with excellent drink choices. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel is almost perfect. If I had to choose one thing I didn't like, it was that trees blocked our view of the surrounding mountains.

The meals were a highlight. It felt like a fine dining experience that we were not expecting. Delicious food, amazing service.

We loved the traditional aspects of the stay as well as the exceptional hospitality. We felt so comfortable to the point of being spoiled (foot massager in your room and onsen on the balcony overlooking mountains?!). We also really enjoyed the authentic meals we ate here.

Breakfast was fantastic and very filling and the dinner as well. The staff ring your room phone and also inform you of the time for dinner and breakfast. During the stay the staff was also kind enough to inform of attractions nearby and the limited shuttle they could provide to the attractions. I will say, be warned NOT to lug luggage and have it takkyubin’d there prior to or to your next location because the hotel is on a hill, it’s a bit of a hike to get up to unless you taxi (I took the bus and had to walk up hill with a backpack). The staff were also very nice to provide a shuttle to the bus stop after my stay so I didn’t have to walk all the way downhill. Room was very spacious and clean and provided amenities as well. The private little deck tubby was a bit hard to use since I’m 5’9” and 240lb lol. The tubby out on the deck was a bit small for my use and legs were cramping trying to get into the space lol

Perfect. Very full. Good food, good service Nothing

Clean room. Due to snow, taxi did not bring us to the hotel itself, and the hotel did not want to meet us and help to get to their hotel asap. So, we arrived at around 6 pm. Waited for the taxi that will agree to take us to the hotel for 4,5 hours. After arrival we requested a late checkout or at least help with transfer to get to our next place. Where we were given a rejection, instead the hotel asked additional money for each hour of longer stay. In conclusion, we didn’t feel any sympathy and understanding from the hotel staff side and did not get any expected help . By the way, Kaiseki dinner was disgusting. Me and my wife returned back almost 80% of the food. Breakfast was not great too. In total my grade is 4/10.

Overall a phenomenal experience at this onsen! Staff was supportive and friendly. We do not know Japanese and the staff understood English and were supportive! Communication and contact was rapid and easy. Everything was clean and the entire facility was well thought out and taken care of! Food was great (dinner and breakfast), private bath opportunity was splendid, even their public 24/7 one, and the rooms are spacious and full of treats! I would come back the next time! Highly recommend using their free shuttle pick-up from the nearest bus stop: Kozuka Iriguchi, trust me going up/down hill isn't easy with luggage. Drop-off can be any stop that is nearby.

The staff was lovely and very accommodating. The food was great too. The hotel was run down, there was mold on the walls in the bathroom, pealing paint and the rug was stained.

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

Beautiful view from our room it snowed while there it was amazing.

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

It felt like a true piece of Japan. The staff was so friendly. The area was beautiful. The hot springs tub on the deck was very, very small.

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

The staff were amazing, as was the food! The location feels a little tucked away while being reasonably near a bus stop - but the staff can often shuttle you to places nearby as well during your stay.
