Loved our cabin in the woods! It was peaceful and serene with all the modern amenities. It was often a long walk to the restaurants and a climb up stairs to our unit. It’s lovely if you don’t mind walking and they will help with golf carts.
-
Wonderful place. The villa was super comfortable, with all needed amenities. The onsen is a big plus. We enjoyed very much. We took a Japanese dinner that was very tasty and beautifully presented. The staff was very polite and attentive
-
Location, food Pricey, isolated, this was good but bad for transportation
-
The location is great - quiet tranquil place helps relaxing after the whole week of exploring Japan. The villas are great and have pretty nice amenities. Both Japanese and Western dinner courses were delicious! The staff was very helpful and attentive. The place is located in the very heart of Hakone, so you can easily reach most of its sights. Majority of the staff members were great, however some of them are noticeably less attentive. We waited for the staff member during one of the breakfasts after the dessert, but they never came even though we've pushed the call button 4 times. Western dinner portions could be a bit bigger.
-
Beautiful forest grounds setting. Beautiful architecture. Private Onsens. Some things are showing some signs of wear and tear. The bluetooth in the room. The golf carts were somewhat worn. The breakfast buffet was okay. Price was premium.
-
Great villa & staff. The food was really good with many different options. We'd return.
-
Everything More fresh pastries please @ breakfast.
-
The staff were really kind! The room was clean with everything needed! And the private Onsen was the best with very pleasant temperature all night long. Will visit again!
-
Well kept and beautiful. Serene. Steep walk to villa from reception or entrance of the property, but staff was always willing and waiting to take you to your rooms, restaurant, lounge via cart. Our onsen wasn’t working properly for a moment but staff was super quick to come and check it out and send over a maintenance person to fix the issue. They were very timely and responsive
-
The staff was super friendly and quick to assist. The villa was clean, comfy, and very cozy. The Onsen was clean and very relaxing. The villa i picked with the outdoor onsen, indoors was more of a western style. A Japanese style with tatami would've been nicer.

Beautiful rooms, kind staff, great facilities and amazing value for money! Looking forward to return here!!

We liked the privacy in the villas. The water in the Onsen is nice and has a great temperature (can be adjusted). The continental restaurant is very good and has a beautiful setting with views into the forest/garden. Food is excellent including a large selection for breakfast. The Japanese restaurant has private dining rooms. Staff is accommodating and helpful but there are language barriers (not many speak English well enough). From the villas it is a 10 minute walk to the continental restaurant along a road and past parking areas… not exactly scenic. Our first villa was very dark but luckily staff were able to set us up in a different one with more light. Both of these villas looked somewhat dated and do need to be refreshed and renovated. Some furniture and appliances are very used and not up to the standard of a luxury ryokan. Cleanliness was ok but spotty, details were missed. Breakfast and dinner times are very rigid. We didn’t like to have to decide in advance at what time we’d like to have breakfast or dinner two days later.

Magical location. We loved our spacious villa with its private onsen. Nothing

The villa needs some maintenance. Stains on some furniture & carpet.

We stayed for 2 nights in a comfortable cottage with a private onsen. Sitting in the hot water of the private open-air onsen was an amazing experience. But the highlight was the Kaiseki dinner. Every dish was like a small work of art, beautifully presented, with delicate and perfectly balanced flavors. It was much more than just a meal; it was a complete culinary experience: a huge variety of small dishes, each one different and surprising in its own way. Everything was exceptionally delicious.
-
The accommodations, dining, and customer service were excellent and exceeded my expectations. Other than the location which was far from other attractions, I have no complaints.
-
Beautiful property. Highly recommend if you want a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature
-
Longer ride from train station then expected. Pretty minor issue.
-
Very good resort and food Everything was good

Awesome accommodations, staff was very helpful. Great breakfast and dinner. A huge spider in the bathroom and in bedroom.
