dinner and breakfast were traditional and good I felt the public onsen was very small and the hotel is very close to the road and road noise which was surprising. I also expected a garden or grounds to wander around to spend the day at the Ryokan but there weren't any.

The property was built within the nature, outdoor private onset was perfect, even in the rain!! Meals were excellent with traditional Japanese dishes for both supper and breakfast. Wearing a Yukata the entire time, was so relaxing! No where to walk on the property.

Fun to experience the traditional ryokan style hotel. The room was spacious & clean. We loved wearing the kimonos all around and enjoyed both the unique dinner and breakfast! We did think the room baths were going to be a bit bigger for us to enjoy at once -but we took turns and the hot spring water felt relaxing.

The staff was very friendly and helpful . The in room soaking tubs were great. Very run down buildings . Stains on the walls and floors. Cracks in the walls. Very uncared for and sad buildings in need of TLC. This could be a lovely place if properly cared for. Pictures are misleading.

The food was amazing, the breakfasts were good but the dinners were exceptional, the abalone will be the highlight of my trip to Japan. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the private onsen was of a good size allowing for use by a couple. The public onsen was also great, with both an indoor section and an outdoor section, shower stalls and also an area to blow-dry hair, moisturize etc. There would be nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend staying here

Traditional breakfast was interesting. Kimonos were nice to wear around. Private onsen in room was good Room itself was a bit odd. The onsen itself only had 2 pools, not in a very scenic spot. Overall was a decent stay though not worth the price at all, would definitely skip or book somewhere more expensive with more value

The dinner was a real Japanese banquet, delicious. The breakfast was also a complete Japanese breakfast. The service is great. The staff is very efficient and pays attention to your needs. I did not try the large Onsen since there is one on your balcony that we enjoyed. Nothing

Unforgettable hakone experience! We had a large room with a private onsen. It was private, peaceful and so rejuvenating after 9 busy days touring Japan. The meals were exquisite both in presentation and flavor. Generously portioned. The mattresses were very hard. There are no views from the property although it has nice grounds.

The property is a bit tired and public onsen is pretty small

The food was amazing and it was a lot of food, they asked for my allergies and were very accomodating, the yukata was a nice touch and there were drinks included too, the tatami beds were very comfortable, the room with a private onsen was perfect, the bus takes you to almost the entrance of the hotel and you can see the venetian glass museum with a short walk out of the hotel.

Food was excellent, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The room onsen was very relaxing and large. A little dated in the building, but the facility all seemed functional and cared for.
