Great little hotel within walking distance of all that Happo-One has to offer...bus station, bars, restaurants, ski/board rentals, and the gondola up the ski hill....all within about a 10 minute walk. When I was looking at Hakuba for the first time, it was hard to decide where to stay and which resort to base at, but Panorama Hotel was almost perfect. Happo-One resort is great, and a free shuttle right outside the door will take you to the Goryu and Hakuba 47 resorts. Easy gear storage at the hotel, a small laundry room, and a good breakfast. The staff were all great...very helpful, friendly, and multi-cultural...Australian, Japanese, Canadian. And the Taproom just downstairs is great if you like beer! My son and I stayed for 5 days and we both enjoyed it. It's not a 5 star hotel or a resort hotel, more of a budget/family-friendly hotel. It's dated with older carpet, and our room smelled a bit musty, but that's to be expected with sweaty skiers and snowboarders coming and going all day! Nothing a little air freshener doesn't fix.

Continental breakfast was great and tasty. N/A

The onsen was great, the room was bigger than expected, liked that there was breakfast included and that the shuttle bus dropped us at the door and that it was so close to all the restaurants. Food didn't change for breakfast. Dinner options were all western, American style.

The location is awesome for a skiing holiday - walkable to Nakiyama area of Happo, Happo bus terminal, and there is a shuttle stop right outside for Hakuba47/Goryu. Also walkable to the many bars and restaurants in Happo village, fit people can walk to the Happo Gondola (though there is a nearby shuttle stop as well). The family room was a good size for 2, would be squishy with older children. The onsen scratches an itch, but isn't anything special. The included breakfast was decent, though repetitive! Beds and rooms were comfortable, I would stay again. From the cost you might expect luxury, but reset your expectations to a ski lodge-type accommodation and you'll be happy. The bathrooms are not great - very small, no japanese toilet (!) and a handheld shower. We had an onsen each day just so we didn't have to shower in the room.

some variety in breakfast would have been nice

Staff were great

Clean, spacious, they provide limited shuttles in the morning for the nearest slope and shuttle from train or bus station for arriving guest. The onsen was a wonderful addition. Location is close to bus station, slopes and restaurants, but the lack of sidewalks makes it pretty dangerous to move around in the winter with ski gear, especially when traveling with kids, sharing narrow ice covered roads with busses and cars. This may be related to the way the town is designed rather then the property’s fault, just be aware.

Walking distance to town and the lifts. Rowdy at night due to the taproom downstairs. I heard guys talking loud outside when I was in bed at 2am. Breakfast was a big disappointment! Why serve Australian meat in Japan? Subpar quality food.

Location is great, there is a Lawson nearby! Hotel staff were friendly. Loved the onsen too! More variety for breakfast would be great as the bread were similar everyday. To have some board games for rent would good too!

Very good value for spending. The view was amazing on the window. Onsen is too small and open only in the evening
