We were thrilled with our traditional Japanese experience at this lovely hotel. The ladies working were more than helpful and went above and beyond to help us figure out absolutely everything. 10/10 would recommend this hotel to future travelers.

Staying at the Happokan made a wonderful snowboarding trip even happier. They have all the essential facilities including a snow gear room. It's conveniently located to walk to Happo One or to catch the bus to another resort such as Cortina. The ladies who run it are lovely and noticed I was in pain and recommended a sauna they thought might help with it unprompted. Waking up every morning to a new, home cooked, traditional Japanese breakfast with a beautiful view of the mountains was definitely a highlight. Do yourself a favour and book the breakfast!

clean & friendly staff. breakfast was amazing. walking distance to the shuttle bus to access other mountains. 10 mins walk to Happo One with your skis. We wish the tea garden was open to socialize and meet other travellers.

The morning breakfast was amazing. Traveled with two adult boys that were full after breakfast. Host very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to ski slopes. Ski rentals easy and storage available. Room spacious for Japan. Hot spring was fabulous after skiing. Highly recommend the lodging.

The location of hotel is awesome which is near Happo Bus Terminal, some restaurants and two ski equipment rental stores. The Hotel and room are clean and cozy. There is a comfortable onsen within hotel that you can relax after ski. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended Happo Kan!
