Hotel was very pleasant and convenient for skiing. Onsens were very relaxing and clean. Outstanding Japaneese breakfast each morning. Nothing I can think of.

This was our 4th time staying in Oak Forest over the last 10 years. We enjoyed the breakfast which now provides more options (buffet style) than in the past. Staff are always friendly and accommodating and have a good command of English (and some other languages too). It is was very easy to ship our ski gear in advance to be held in storage. The dry room is really comfortable with a good space allocation for each room. Bus access to major ski resorts is very convenient, especially since Oak Forest is one of the first stops when the bus is still empty. No complaints.

We loved this hotel. The staff was so nice from the begining, and the rooms were spacious and wonderful. We had food allergies and they cooked us a special meal

I wish they could have clean the bidet. You can still visibly see stains on it. It’s kinda gross.

The staff were accommodating and friendly. Location was excellent - shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel, 10 minute walk to restaurants. Lockers available to store gear and there’s also a nice onsen. We also enjoyed the breakfast spread! While we love the quaint, retro vibes, it could do with some modern updates i.e. plugs near bed to charge phones, less clunky hotel keys etc

The hotel was good location and there is free shuttle support for ski gondola the room is big and clean and the breakfast is great

At Onsen, there should be some protection for the snow falling from the roof, especially at the edge of onsen where people sit. The roof should be a bit longer.
