Swimming pool had great view and u can watch fireworks. Definitely good value for price for a dorm Breakfast could be a bit better. It was average

The staffs are so friendly, and also professional. The hotel have a really nice view to the beach and the whole city. The buffet line is not so diverse. But it doesn’t bother me much. Every dish is wonderful.

Perfect central location, easy walk to everything. Clean, spacious rooms. Loved the rooftop pool and free breakfast. Stunning views and a relaxing balcony. Super friendly staff, very helpful and welcoming. Great value.

This is an excellent budget hotel and hostel. All the staff are really caring. The reception staff also speak good English. The female dorm was cleaned daily with new towels and water. The room had a shared fridge and kettle. The pool is also really clean, with an excellent view of the city. I also appreciated the free daily breakfast. This is a really safe place for solo women travellers. Thank you for everything, and I hope to stay again soon.

The location is good, close to many local restaurants, the room was clean and comfortable, staff very helpful and the bed was good. Given the vast choice and explosion of hotels in Bai Chay recently, I'm not sure if we'd stay here again..... This was my third time staying here at The Light in Bai Chay, near Ha Long City. The first two times were great, but unfortunately this time was a bit disappointing. Why? In the first room, we had to go and ask for the air-con remote, only to discover that the air-con didn't work. Thankfully, they gave us the opportunity to move room, which we did, the next day. However, once again, the air-con did not work in the new room. Although they gave us the chance to move room again, it was too much bother to pack up and move, yet again. Also, the breakfast was not as good as I recall. The fried eggs were cooked to within an inch of their life and were like rubber. There was no sliced bread to put in the toasters, only buns. We inquired and were told that the owner only buys that kind of bread. Only Vietnamese coffee was available. It's OK, but another option would be appreciated as not everyone can stomach Vietnamese coffee. The staff have breakfast at the same time as the guests, making it uncomfortable if you have to ask them for something as I felt I was disturbing them.

I’ve been here a few times, and everything has been great. With low-priced rooms, of course, you shouldn’t expect too much in terms of design. If you want the best experience and a nice room, go for superior rooms or higher. If your budget is limited, you can opt for the budget rooms

A very good place i would like to come back whenever im at Ha Long Bay. Kinda like how good it was even tho it just a standard room at cheap price. Couldn't ask too much cause you get what you pay for! Besides, they also provide laundry services and tours around the bay which is pretty good and convenient! Good location, the food was amazing, and specially thanks to all of the friendly and helpful Receptionist at the front desk. They're served!
