Location, Staff. The floor could use a Mat to wipe feet/shoes. No proper Soap or Shampoo in Bathroom.

Great location if you want to visit the Reeperbahn. We went to check it out and see where the Beatles first started Very noisy street (people-shouting)

It was a convenient place to stay over for my project work on nearby. The staff was nice. Very noisy place, because of the nearby road, very mouldy bathroom, not many facilities.

The price and location. Asked for a quiet room and got one. The metro to any place in the city is steps away. The day person could use some customer service training. Every question seemed like he was irritated and didn't want to help. The hotel is located in a coffee and breakfast desert. If you wake up early it is really a big issue. The hotel serves coffee at 8am which is late for me.

Nice little Old hotel. It’s well worn but nice and clean. We asked to reserve a parking spot, when we booked, but never got a confirmation on this, and when we showed up there were no more parking spaces available.

Very friendly staff, easy to communicate with in advance and during stay. Bed and room itself comfy and clean. Hotel is located directly in Hamburg's red light district and near the harbour, which is an absolute plus. Public transportation right in front of the hotel, plenty of food and shopping options in walking distance. Due to a trade fair happening at the time of my stay, prices extraordinary high. The Lafayette is a decent hotel in general (at least for people who just need a clean room with a comfy bed), but the pricing didn't fit at all. Shower screens were quite dirty. Looked like they haven't been cleaned for years. Shower itself (and the bathroom in whole) was clean, though.
