The staff is very friendly and nice. Generally I'd say that the place is quite ok, I saw hostels much dirtier and with less comfort for bigger prices. Yes, the price is good. The location is great. It is possible that I return to this hostel when I need a stay in Hamburg again I won't say that it was very dirty in the bathroom as the others say. But there was quite a strong smell in the bathroom and in the kitchen. Bearable though. Also, no AC and because the window was open in the hot night there was no option to close the curtains and it was very bright in the room.

the room was as expected according to the photographs online. the unisex bathroom/shower facilities were great, glad there was space for it on our floor and in reception. we were allowed to leave our personal belongings prior to check-in without charge which was fab. tourist tax should be included on the original bill instead of charging at check-in especially if the people travelling together aren't a couple. should be able to split the charge between people even if the booking is under one person.

Location is great It is own by one family, you don’t feel hostel travel vibe, it feels there live some man who work in Hamburg (no English perhaps). Kitchen was dirty.
