PHNX Aparthotel Hamburg

Right across street from train station which is what we needed. Clean and modern. Not in a good area. Kitchen not open and bar limited. Stairs inside apartment SO loud when used it woke my friends up in middle of night when I used them. Apt looked nice, but tvs only in bedrooms and not in small living area. Beds against wall on one persons side and no plugs next to bed.

It is located in Harburg, which could seem a bit off the track if visiting Hamburg, but fact is, you have loads of S-Bahn and Regional Trains connecting you with the city center in 15-20 minutes. The flats are spacious, confortable, clean, We always only stay one night, but we could easily stay longer for other purposes.

Pros: 1. The property is located 2 minutes from Hamburg-Harburg station, enabling easy accessibility to public transport. The Phoenix commercial center is around 10 minutes away by foot and the area covers all general shopping needs. 2. The apartment is furnished with all basic necessities required for a short stay (or possibly longer). 3. Check-in via the self check-in kiosk on the ground floor was easy, but they also have a reception on the 4th floor. Cons: 1. There is no air conditioning, so it got uncomfortable on hotter days. We opened the windows and it did help cool the room, however, we did not sleep well due to the noise from the continuous passage of trains during the night. 2. For short stays, cleaning is supposed to be done every 3 days. However, our rooms were not cleaned even though we stayed 4 nights and none of the essentials (soap, toilet paper, towels, trash bags etc.) were refilled or changed. 3. The vegan soap available in the washroom smelled horrible. 4. The kitchen chimney was faulty and did not work properly.

The room was clean, it had everything you need for a short stay. - No free parking space at the hotel, we were able to park for free under a shady bridge a bit further. The hotel is opposite to the train station, so when traveling with public transport this is a good location. - The online check in ran out of room cards, so we couldn't get one from the machine. We called the staff, first they told us we 'were not in the system'. Only after 30 minutes of explaining we were able to get a spare card from a secret locker. Since we arrived late at the hotel, this was an unpleasant experience. - The spare room we got was next to the door. Outside it was very noisy, so it was not convenient to open the window. The room was warm due to lack of air-condition. - A week later I got a phishing WhatsApp message from 'the administrator of PHNX hotel' saying I had to verify my payment. My contact information was definitely not safe with this hotel. They need to work on their IT security system.

It is very clean and very good condition apartment with a good deal

The whole building is incredible architecture (it was part of a factory years ago), our rooms' ceiling was around 4,5meters high! Lots of light, kitchen amenities good enough for medium term stays, very nice lounge/restaurant area. Some issue with the automated check-in so we did a "traditional" check-in at the reception (on the 4th floor); arriving by car there are parking places in front of the hotel but always full, so had to unload further. Great and inexpensive 2€/day parking on the other side of the train station (300m away). A bit noisy on that side of the building, at least in summer time with the windows open.

The organization of the stay was excellently arranged, and there were no issues in this regard at all. There are plenty of shops in the area, and the train connection to the city center is excellent. The room was completely quiet, facing the courtyard. The rooms are well soundproofed — no noise from neighboring rooms could be heard. All of this is a big plus. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but we would have appreciated more pillows and a higher-quality mattress. In the kitchen, we missed items such as a toaster or a drip coffee maker, which are nowadays considered standard in an apartment with a kitchenette. The breakfasts were good, but for a longer stay — in our case, ten nights — it became difficult toward the end to keep eating the same thing every day. There was no bread, only two types of rolls, and no items like fried eggs or sausages.

Perfect hotel, got everything inside the room, even a small kitchen. Location is amazing, very quiet yet opposite to the train station and could reach Hamburg centre in less than 20min. Checkin and checkout process was very modern and easy-peasy. There is also a walk in lift! Everything was really amazing, truly enjoyed our stay here, will definitely come back again whenever we are back in Hamburg! Nothing in short!

Hotel was very easy to find. Self Check-In was a Chore but staff was very accomodating and helpful. Bed was too soft for my liking personally
