This time we had a twin bed room, which was much more comfortable than the one tiny double bedroom we had a week earlier, which was placed in a corner with no view at all to the inner "garden". When we opened the window to get fresh air the noise from the huge A/C head unit placed on the bottom of the "garden" area was very disturbing. See above for the stay one week earlier

Good location near the train station, quiet at night, good room dimensions. Lack of staff of the front desk.

The location is perfect , it is front of the station. The bed mattress and pillow was comfortable, we slept very well. We enjoyed ice cream at reception bar. It was special quality. The interior was also very nice and we enjoyed sitting in the lobby. Would recommend trying the pancake machine at breakfast. Everything was all right

Lovely looking building from the front, the lobby is beautiful and the rooms are good. The staff are very helpful, professional and charming. The only issue I have was the view, or the lack of. The curtains had to be kept closed at all times as the window faced three sides of the hotels other rooms and windows, so no privacy and a very ugly outlook. It was such a shame and had I known this I would not have booked this hotel.

The location of the hotel was ideal. As tourists who were only visiting Hamburg for a couple of days, we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The hotels proximity to many attractions was fantastic. Unbeknown to us we actually arrived during Hamburg Pride so there was a real buzz around the city and the hotel was so close to the festival which meant we could easily visit. The hotel is also so close to the train station which was very helpful for us as we arrived by train and there are hundreds of restaurants and bars close by so we really did not struggle for meals. Hotel had a lovely bar, great facilities and le labo products in the room which was a lovely touch The property itself was great, staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms clean. My only comment would be we walked down Steindamm, a short walk from the hotel and it was full of questionable characters doing questionable deals and taking questionable pharmaceuticals… apparently this is very common for this street so I’d perhaps avoid there if visiting!

Great Location. Lovely old style hotel with high ceilings. Fantastic breakfast. Good lounge facilities to read quietly. No tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

This hotel was beautiful with its old gradeur .that's not to say its shabby it's not, it's just stunningly original. With chandeliers from 1910s etc. Staff were very friendly. . Great location near central station. .I really loved the hotel. Couldn't fault it except for weird bright blue dolls hair type stuff appearing on my hair dryer brush one day. Most peculiar.

Lovely historic hotel across from the central train station. Large rooms. Comfy beds. Good air con. Very, very good breakfast - not necessarily included but worth adding to reservation. Lovely foyer. Several bars and restaurants. Nice staff Nothing

Great location behind the central station. Beautiful art deco interior. Lovely old-fashioned bar with friendly staff. Small room onto a light shaft. Lobby bar staff unfriendly providing drinks at 11pm in a still full bar.
