The location was perfect. We were able to easily walk to various attractions and enjoyed the plaza right outside for dinner at Fleethof. I'm not sure if our room was upgraded or standard (we paid extra for early check-in) but we had a large room with a chaise lounge, frig & coffee maker/kettle overlooking the plaza. We could open the window and enjoy the fresh air and the church bells ringing. Lovely!

Room was spacious and clean, well decorated and freshly new. The river view was very pretty, not too much noise. The location is very good, walking distance from major tourist attractions and shopping. Bathroom accessories were limited - there was no toothbrush, shaving kit etc. For this hotel and price, I'd expect more on this part.

Perfect Location, courteous and helpful staff in classic 5* hotel. Perfect for a weekend break to explore the beautiful Hanseatic City

Two single beds provided instead of a double

One could not regulate the heating in the bathroom. Even on 5 it was never more than lukewarm. When I asked at the the reception, I was told that the heating switches off as soon as a certain room temperature is reached. In a 5-star hotel, it would be nice to be able to shower in a warm bathroom.

The hotel was just renovated and we liked the appearance of the place. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. the breakfast room with canal view is fantastic. We liked the burger in the restaurant and hope we can come back in the summer when the terraces are open. Also, the well equipped gym has a great view. But the best part of the Steigenberger is the location on a canal right in the city center. -

The location and the view in the Riverside was amazing, specially with the snowfalls and the city lights at night with the panoramic view To a bit high price on the dates that I stay further more I didn’t see any facilities more than the gym and sauna. Also there wasn’t any internal smoking areas which it make it harder during the winter nights.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Staff supplied good quality umbrellas on the rainy days We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on saturday and it was delicious The opening hours of the sauna are a bit complicated. Opens at 5 mon to fri. 2 on sat and 4 on sunday. Earlier opening would be better

Good location. Great breakfast. Spacious and nice rooms. Elevator was initially not working well with my card.

Roomservice is very Week they only have 1/2 meals that re like Indian chicken and a bowl they need to put more and basic food like burger or steak & THE MATTRESS CONTAINS LICE
