Quirky, fun hotel in a nice location within walking distance of the historic centre. The pillows were too thin. Would have liked an iron too.

Location is excellent both for harbour and inner city, all in walking distance. The building is lovely, very relaxed vibe, excellent bar and restaurant. Nice touch that minibar is included. Loved the photography in the hallways. Would have liked to have a coffee in the room, having said that the lovely restaurant manager gave me one for free. Our air con was not working, but we just opened the window and I forgot to mention it on check out!

Good location and quirky decor with friendly staff. AC in room didn't work so we were moved to another room which was allegedly the same size but felt much smaller, probably because of the strange room layout. Even the working AC wasn't very good due to it only working when it was above a certain temperature outside. Whilst this was obviously an environmental policy we had to open the windows to avoid sweating all night. The sauna is in the sister hotel close by. The tea/coffee was never replenished.

We had breakfast, lunch, dinner at hotel. All very good and friendly efficient service. Nice German wine Bar shut for private function. Couldn't get drink after concert

Great location, friendly staff I like good design. However, in this case it seems that design was put first, and not enough attention was put on basics like decent lighting, cleanliness, housekeeping service, coffee makers. I’d love the design if those basics were in place. They weren’t. The staff was lovely and eager trying to solve the problem, giving me a better room, adding lamps. But still, the rooms were dark, the bathroom in particular, l’d have given a fortune for a decent cup of (not filter) coffee in the room in the morning. With coffee supplies refilled every day. But no. That’s a pity. With these simple basics in place the stay would have been great.

The location was really good with lots of shops (Westfield) and a few restaurants around. The city centre was close to walk to. Room was spacious and very comfortable and the decor (sailor themed) was cool. The room was dark because of insufficient lighting.

It was in an interesting building and the rooms and bar were very cool but friendly at the same time It was in an area that’s still being developed which is interesting but is also very close to a boring cookie cutter Westfield shopping centre
