Lovely place, really comfy room with a fan and AC for the summer. Good location and lots of food around. Check in was smooth. decoration was great and gave great atmosphere. I stayed in a room where there was a lot of light from very early on and the blinds did not block enough light. Also this is an old house converted into a hotel so you have to walk up to 2 flights of stairs which isn't ideal for some.

Die Terrasse war wunderschön! Das ganze Appartement war sehr schön und gepflegt. Frühstück machen und draußen genießen, einfach perfekt. Essen kochen klappt nicht, weil kein Herd oder Ofen vorhanden ist. Das Restaurant, das beim Hotel dabei ist, lädt zu gutem Essen ein. Wir haben ein leckeres Mittagsmenü um 18€ genossen!

Wonderful host, so many amazing touches provided, made us feel special. Was flexible with check in and out. The host Arno is so friendly! Terrific rooms and location. The only place I stay at in Hamburg and the only place I will recommended! Nothing

The hotel building is several centuries old with our room nicely updated making use of various spaces for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed a generous selection of food for breakfast. Our room had a terrace that we enjoyed despite a recent rain. The location is walkable to the train station. I highly recommend this hotel! All good!

Close to the train station, bus 6 and 17 both stop almost in front, lots of restaurants and a couple of bakeries close. OJ squeezer in the room, kettle, good bed, nice shower…Nice windows and great steam heat. I’m not put off by a little peeling paint and funkiness if the beds are good and things are generally clean. This place could use a little tlc- but I liked it. The room layout is a little weird, paint is dark, lighting is not great. Plastic chairs look great but are not very comfortable to sit in. Metal wardrobe seems cheap. Place could use a makeover- I’d call it shabby chic…

The location close to the railway station - it was for a one night stopover so a ten minute walk was very manageable. The quality of the food in the restaurant for an evening meal was excellent but of course this wasn't part of the Booking fee but some thing we paid for separately at the end of the meal. It was really a simple restaurant with stairs up to a few let rooms above. No reception, no lift, no regular breakfast - the restaurant is not open in the morning. Apparently if you requested something light the night before they would bring it to your room in the morning. We opted out from paying the extra for this and bought some things in the excellent supermarket down the road. The bed was large and comfy but the rest of the room was furnished in an eclectic mix off odd pieces with trailing wires around the skirting boards to various lamps and TV, coffee maker etc. There were no carpets and both bedroom and bathroom seemed a little tired for what was being charged.
