Big windows since no air conditioning

Very clean and well maintained property. Excellent value and close proximity to the central train and bus station. Super friendly staff. It’s a Spartan environment but the value makes up for any perceived deficiency

Helpful staff, quick reply to emails. Quiet. Close to central train station. Windows are doors that open to a tiny private courtyard. Could hear birds singing. Great breakfast. No refrigerator. No air conditioning. Only given 1 bottle of water for 3 days

It’s very clean My husband complained that the next doors tv was loud at midnight all night that he couldn’t sleep.

The location is very good. The room is basic but clean, enough for a business travel. The advertisement gives you the wrong impression that this was a hotel when it is actually more like a pension. The reception hours are very limited. There was a confusion with one of my collegues. He did not receive any key code in advance and had to call for one. The responding person had difficulties on understanding him. It was raining and he stayed lierally on the street. He was just arriving from another country and had no local phone line with him to call the owner´s number and had to borrow the phone from somebody else. He could have been trapped outside at the dark, in a freezing night and without support. No breakfast was planned for him. At first they told us to leave and look for a backery. At the end they agreed that it was their fault (or booking´s fault) and let us eat another guest´s breakfast..

Close to central train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet even with a street party happening next door.

ALPHA Hotel Garni is located just a 5-minute walk from Hamburg's main railway station. The rooms are basic, but clean, and have good Wi-Fi. There is no daily cleaning and breakfast is an additional fee. If you need a place to stay for one night near the train station, then ALPHA Hotel Garni is perfectly acceptable. My rating is 7.5/10.

I enjoyed everything about ALPHA the room was just right in terms of being able to adjust the warmth of the room. Although I was in a room with double doors looking into a courtyard these doors couldn’t be opened. It would be nice to have fresh air from the outside with a window that opens.

Basic hotel within walking distance from the train station. The beds were comfy and there was a free bottle of water in the room.

Quite, clean, comfortable room

Staff were super warm and helpful. It was a short walk from the train station yet located in a quieter neighborhood away from the busier roads. Plenty of dining around. High ceiling made room feel spacious and contained all the essentials including hooks, wardrobe, private bath, place to sit & even an extra blanket. The large window could be opened and overlooked a lovely tree. Bed was comfortable and large foam-strip pillow was generously filled. Church across the way did not have the full carillon of bells so was not too loud. Shower was hot with good pressure. Could only have been improved by a communal kitchen or perhaps a kettle in the room. The walls of the shower were a bit flimsy but did not leak.

The room was great and location was fantastic.

The mattress was a bit uncomfortable.

Everything but one thing. The “double” bed made of two single beds which results in a gap right in the middle. In my opinion, calling it a double bed is misleading, but many German hotels think otherwise.

Room was really easy to access from the Central Train station. The lady on reception was super helpful in organising us to the Laundromat and a Taxi to the cruise port Only one thing ...not facilities to make a cup of tea before bed
