A very nice and comfortable hotel with an extremely friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised by a free room upgrade, and the lobby is a great place to relax — we even watched the World Cup final there. The location is very convenient, with a good selection of restaurants nearby, especially around the harbor area. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a classic style. There is no private parking, but public parking options are available nearby, as well as street parking, and we had no difficulty finding a place. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a reliable hotel chain. We would definitely consider coming back. On the negative side, there is honestly not much to mention. Hamburg is a wonderful city, and we had no issues or unpleasant experiences during our stay. Nothing negative to report.

Everything was good except the restaurant service. When we had dinner the evening of July 6th, the server was absolutely the worst I've seen in a long time. She was slow to get us seated, slow to give us a menu and slow to take our order. The elderly couple behind us stood more than ten minutes before being seated. Rather than give them their menu she slowly wandered off to do other things. After 15 to 20 minutes of not receiving a menu, the couple left. She had one speed; SLOW and very inattentive. I hope she's fired by now.
