Staff are amazing, they are very polite and welcoming. The place is fantastic, is well-centered in the city, lots of cool bars nearby and close to a train station, that gets you everywhere. The room is cozy and clean. The breakfast is great! What a quality! Beyond the friendly staff working there, the buffet is mouthwatering. There's no air conditioning, so the room might get really hot during summer.

The street was immensely busy and thus very noisy late into the night. Doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend it. Just a big factor.
-
Great location. The lak3 is right around the corner Pillows ...not so good Need to fix the weight machine and bike. Gym could be very nice

The hotel it's few meters away Stephansplatz metro (U-Bahn) station, it's open 24/7 and is few hundred meters away from Hamburg Rathaus (city hall). The staff is friendly and pleased to be helpful. We didn't had breakfast so ... actually we prefer to give a chance to the small food businesses around the hotels we travel ... and there are few coffee and pastry shops around. The family room it's generous for a 3 stars hotel (despite the closing mechanism of one of the windows was broken and the bath door couldn't be closed:)) but here ends all the positive aspects. The furniture is very outdated but the sofa bed is the biggest minus of this room and I think is the main reason this hotel has this score; in fact that sofa bed is an absolute junk. The room wasn't used for a long time, I can surely tell that because of the smell inside the room when we stepped in first time. A new sofa bed with a good mattress will make a big difference. And the TV also ... better none than that small ... something.

a well maintained older hotel. they forgot a bit that the customer is important. the staff is not very well dressed and shaved So for a business trip ok, I needed to work very close to the hotel. That was convent. Overall not the best experience. next time I will look for a better hotel, the room was efficient but dull.

Breakfast, room and location were good for my stay in Hamburg. Mixing up of my bills. It required a lot of reconciliation before I signed out of the place.
-
Wonderful staff, excellent location, quiet room and fabulous breakfast. Bed was a bit too hard for me and an electric kettle would be a nice addition to the room.
-
It is clearly dated. The breakfast was very basic, coffee was from a pot... Bed could be more comfortable

Everything was great about the property. It was a very cozy with character Hotel.. my room was very comfortable.

The location is a highlight—it's close to the metro, within walking distance of the city center, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafés, which made getting around and dining out convenient. The room itself was disappointing. The furniture was outdated and not well-maintained, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. In some areas, it even felt dirty. The hotel is situated on a very busy street, and is noisy, at least in rooms facing the road. Additionally, the walls were quite thin, so I could hear noise from neighboring rooms

Location The room doesn’t have air conditioning and de breakfast was full sometimes
-
the breakfast area is currently being renovated, and I expect the new one will be an improvement over the current status. As it is, it was rather stuffy. A little Durchzug would have helped.
-
Just the first. Night they didn't take out the trash.

Great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, amazing location. My room, though lovely, was a little loud (street noise) early in the AM, but I think it was noisy because of the location of the room, maybe not generally a hotel issue.
-
The location was "best".... breakfast was quite good/plentiful.... BUT I wished I could have reduced the "People staying there" (ie. "myself" vs. "myself and other".... since being ONE person, would have cost FAR less! They told me I could have changed had the reservation been directly with them. (not booking.com) Basically I paid for 2 people stay, and I was just one.... (the other had a medical accident. and could not come)

Reception open 24 hours. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Pretty good breakfast, German style buffet, from 07h00 even on a Sunday. Very happy here for a city centre hotel, about 10 minutes walk from Jungfernsteig S and U bahn station (line S1 direct from the airport). My room did smell quite strongly of stale sweat.

No A/C or fan (missed that on the listing) but it wasn’t too hot with the windows open - just bring earplugs for the noise.
-
Excellent breakdown and nice bathroom Very noisy- walls must be thin because people on the street talking in normal voices are heard. Bed was too hard for me.

Very old fashioned. But you get everything. A bit too old.
