Room-Pauli

Very conveniently located, close to everything, the s-bahn, the ferries, lots of supermarkets nearby. Provided free earplugs. Clean and plentiful public toilets - never had to wait in line to use one even though my room did not come with a toilet (not a surprise as it was made clear in the booking). Comfortable bed. Kitchen stocked with a plate, mug, glass, cutlery, microwave and fridge. Dish washing detergent, a sponge and some kitchen roll also available. Responsive host. Area is is chaotic being the party district but did not feel unsafe walking around as a solo female traveler, unlike in other areas of the city. Have to mention it is a noisy area but it is to be expected, being the nightlife center. Perfectly bearable with the free earplugs. Noise was not shockingly loud by any means, though it is a constant though the weekend. Could have used some better blackout curtains or shutters as current solution is ok to preserve your privacy but not great at keeping room dark if you sleep past dawn. Neither of these issues were deal breakers to me, but to be fair have to mention them so that future travelers make an informed decision. Would still return without hesitation.

Nothing. It was exactly as listed, so everything was good.

Only downside is, due to the location, the noise from the clubs downstairs goes on until pretty late in the night, making it harder to fall asleep.

Location was great

It’s fine that the area has parties — I expected some noise in St. Pauli. However, the problem here is much more serious: inside the room, the noise reached almost 60 dB after 22:00, which by German law and noise-protection standards (TA Lärm, Nachtruhe) is not allowed. The music and bass from the club below were so loud that the bed and walls were vibrating, making it impossible to sleep or rest. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel room. I contacted Booking.com several times asking for help, never got a solution. It’s simply not a place where you can sleep — and that makes the accommodation unfit for its purpose.

No toilet in the room but I knew that so, no big deal at the end

Location, Price, cleanliness, staff ready to help in case of any issue occurring. The location is one of the most vibrant in Germany so not ideal for people looking for peace and quiet place. WI-FI connection to improve, sometimes it was slowing down.

I done all reservations here from BOOKING. COM. it was clear to me during the reservation that room has private bathroom... however when we arrived there we find out only a private shower without toilet bowl ?.... So we send an email in English language ( we know that Germans are not educated and they do Google translation to any English message) and they reply back to us by trying to threatening us that will lock us out of the room that will drive us to police and that our safety is jot guarantee..... That continues even today morning when i post my review in Google map they continues threatening us and calls stupid idiots etc.... We want all our money back they spoiled our vacations instantly to be polite and try to solve the issue they try to find a away how to revenge us or to screw our vacations..... I am on tourism industry overv25 years and such a type of emails or replies I have never experienced from property owners. We are have been heavily harassment by the property owner and we wlsxared of our life too they are not hoteliers they are Gangsters!!!!

Very clean except for the Fernbedienung which didn't matter too much because the Internet kept dropping out. Location was great for bars Wifi worked only intermittently.

Lovely quirky room. Great to have a fridge an en suite shower. Smack in the centre of St Pauli, good atmosphere - guests were all friendly and staff very nice. The noise! In between 2 late night bars, opposite several more and Cap'n Brass is just around the corner. No TV reception. It was no surprise though - the owners make it clear it's in the centre of the night-life area.

The location is above a night club! It was impossible to sleep here because of the music. The vibrations of the loud music even went through the mattress. I have had to switch to another hotel after the first night here Otherwise the facilities were rather poor (for example there is a water kettle but not a single glass in the room). Ventilation is not very good and the hallway does smell very musky.

It's cheap, you can check in easily and have your own shower in the room. There is a disco downstairs, very loud music that makes the air shake.

Bathroom had no soap.

Possibility to malke hot water for tea, and a fridge, very nice. At night it's very noisy from outside (concert) nice, but did go on until 1 oclock...
