City Apartment Hotel Hamburg

The cleanliness of the room was poor, it was obvious what the previous guests had eaten.

The place was clean and the service was friendly. The location and the price was amazing. The interior is a bit outdated and there was a broken tile in the bathroom, but for the price I amore than happy for what I got. There was even a kettle and a Filter coffee machine with filters. It was a little bit cold in the room, but the heater works fine. .

The room had a nice retro charm, very 1990s. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom seemed recently redone. There was tons of closet space, the windows opened and the radiators worked and weren't centrally controlled. The area didn't feel the best, the reception desk was unstaffed when I arrived, there were sex noises every day around noon.

The bathroom was filthy. The shower curtain was dirty and there was mold in the room. The carpet was also dirty with some stains on it.

Great location, huge room and bonus points for a fridge and cooking facilities. Also accommodated me for an extra night when my flight was delayed One of the lights was broken in the room and no mirror in the bathroom (there was one outside the bathroom)

Reception

Stayed in the front building, it's old, the room and furniture are pretty worned out. Kitchen light didn't work, and coffee machine was broken. There's no wifi in the room, only in the reception area. It got the job done, and Hamburg is not a cheap city but I don't think it was worht the price.

I booked this hotel for one night. What surprised me was that they charged me an additional €2.40 upon arrival, even though the website clearly mentioned that the reservation price already included taxes. They explained that it was a city tax, but what made it even stranger was that although I was traveling alone and had booked a double room, they still charged me the tax for two people. Last year I stayed at another hotel in Hamburg and was not asked to pay anything extra. Another negative point is that there is no free Wi-Fi inside the hotel. When I asked about it, they told me the internet is only available in the lobby. Even in the room, there was no telephone, so every time I needed something, I had to walk a long way to the reception.

It was not up to standards of a classy Hotel in some respect, but has a cosy and relaxed athmosphere. The room I had was spacious Location was good, because of metro. Consider also bus!
