Reef View Hotel

I understand the hotel isn't responsible for guests' belongings, but it's shocking that an item could disappear so quickly in a public area. This incident completely overshadowed my stay and left me with a very negative impression of the hotel. I hope the hotel can review its lost property procedures and, if possible, improve monitoring of public areas to help prevent similar situations in the future.

Excellent facilities

You pretty much have to have a plan for food all the time because everything is reservations. So if you dont know what time you will get back from tours it can be tricky to plan ahead.

Breakfast

Location was good, Food was very good. Line was past the shop and near the stairs therefore a 20 minute wait for table.

Family Room Suite arrangement was perfect for our family. Bathrooms were large and spacious Balcony and view was decent Staff were very attentive, approachable and friendly Buffet breakfast was fantastic, great range and fresh We stayed on level 4. One of the rooms was next to the lifts and it was quite noisy. Also noise/music from downstairs bar could be heard in the evening Bathroom tapware was very inconveniently placed right in the corner of the basin Fridge was not functioning and things put in froze! Daily cleaning was sub optimal - just changed towels, made up bed and cleared bins. No attempt to clean, mop or vacuum floors, Turnover at buffet breakfast was slow. People lining up, but there were tables available inside

Location View Room size We had breakfast in the hotel ONE morning only. It was disgusting in lieu of the cost. The sausages were inedible as was the bacon. All the supposed hot food was luke warm. No choice of milk and small cerial choice. Very disappointing and placed a black mark on an otherwise good stay

View was spectacular Busyness

Clean, good location. Friendly staffs. When I entered the room, I realized between my room and the next room, both doors were not locked. When I reported this matter to the hotel and after I came back, my front door was not locked .

Great view from the balcony. Hotel is in a central location. Lobby is tidy Dirty bathrooms with mould and scum all over the tiles. Very basic furnishings in room - plastic lino flooring, white and very little ambience. For the nightly asking price, I expected so much more.

Great location. Bedrooms smelt very mouldy, air conditioning stopped working, room cleanliness was poor (ex. Gun in the bed headboard). Room generally did not match pictures online.

The location, view and staff were really good. However, the hotel could improve so much if they just focus on little things like cleaning the room properly, the common areas were also dirty and the furniture are really outdated. Wouldn’t recommend the hotel again tbh

The proximity to everything and the ease if the shuttle The pool at the restaurant was a little bland. I didn’t understand if you could order drinks or not

The view was good, also the buffet breakfast was excellent. The room service was also good, and the staff where helpful when we needed to check in and out. Also nice the shuttle bus service to and from the airport. The pool was also good along with the gym. Nothing specific we were happy overall.

Beautiful setting, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the amenities were outstanding.

Front Desk Girl and Concierge are so arrogant, not check-in person, is another, but forgot name.

The views are incredible, especially from the top floor suites. Fortunately we had a suite, it was expensive but definitely worth it. We were treated very well by the staff and Alexis from consierge drove us to the airport at the end of our stay. The staff were lovely and helpful throughout, especially Emma & Callum. The suite was huge, duplex with two balconies. It’s a huge hotel and very busy in January. The bar area could benefit from updating with better lighting. There’s no ambiance and it’s not very luxurious. The dining area is poor, breakfast is a nightmare. It’s like a war zone! Very loud, messy and not at all a relaxing start to the day, although the quality and selection of food was very good. The swimming pool is lovely but not large enough to cope with the number of guests in busy times, impossible to get a sun bed. Unfortunately the hotel is way too big and stands out like a sore thumb. Not sure why the island decided to build it! We only ended up staying after our dates changed due to a tropical cyclone and our original bungalow booking couldn’t accommodate our new dates. There are much better options on the island.

everything in the mini bar is priced. Even candy and small can of pringles could have been complimentary.
