Shoreline Apartments

Location Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Clothes dryer was broken. Washing machine filters were dirty, oven door did not close properly, door handles were coming off, screen doors had holes in them, very little entertaining bowls/platters and cushions on the lounge had holes.

Accommodation was a great size and the location was superb. Afternoon sunsets were amazing. The accommodation needs a bit of love and a good scrub. It was not clean at all which was very disappointing.

being that is was in Hamilton Island was about it, oh and the view from the bedroom. It was so GROTTY!! Very Disappointing!! Shoreline Villa 16 ! Pick another Villa !! There were holes that had been punched /knocked in the walls, the fridge was missing a door handle, and the freezer half was unusable, due to the fact that it was completely frozen shut, we had to have a towel on the floor in front of the freezer permanently due to it constantly leaking. The kitchen was very ill equipped, really basic utensils, knives that didn't cut not even a salad bowl! Very subpar. The TV needs to be replaced, screen has got lines running vertically, making it rather unenjoyable to watch, and the colour is shot. The bathrooms had not been cleaned properly, if you lifted the toilet set it was gross, not cleaned at all. All the lounge cushions have seen better days, dirty in appearance and old, the sofa bed lounge cushions would not stay of, so sitting on that lounge was uncomfortable. We felt that we should have been advised that there is no direct access to the pool from this villa, and that you had to walk down the street. Making a trip to the pool rather unpleasant. Overall, this unit looks tired and extremely unloved. It needs updating. It needs an overhaul. We have stayed in other villas at Shoreline and they have been brilliant, this however was about as far away as you can get.

In summary; Poorly maintained property with great views. Glad we were out of the apartment most of the time, for the price in peak time I’d expected much better. Mould in bathroom, dirty shower screens, cockroaches, cobwebs, extremely uncomfortable beds, cheap linen, wifi modem disconnected, slow service attending to issues & random holes in the roof in kitchen from previous water leaks. Mark offered $100 seafood voucher for the mould but never sent it. Got over following up, spent most of our time at friends place in Hidden Cove. Owners booked an electrician to fix exhaust fans who left dirt through the unit and showers. Never again.

Amazing views and sunsets, good Location, spacious townhouse and buggy was very convenient!! Was nice, just the mouldy curtains in rooms need to be changed..

Layout, position and views Wasn’t spotless and a bit knocked around, which i do understand for a holiday rental.

Had nice views, golf buggy Was advertised as shoreline’s but not near the shoreline, pool too far away which we thought was in the yard. No gas for a BBQ, no washing machine , shower door in main doesn’t close properly and water going on floor making it slippery. Unit needs maintenance. Thought we may have had change of towels and sheets during the stay. There was an animal up in the ceiling keeping us awake during sleep, something very noisy. It seemed to us overpriced for what we thought it would be.

Fantastic location and outlook. There were some maintenance issues that should have been sorted prior to us arriving. A shower hose had perished and a broken towel rail meant that bathroom was unusable. At the price we were paying for the unit these should have been fixed prior to us arriving.
