Breakfast was fantastic. Even with fixed menu, it was always punctual and fast. Rooms were much smaller than expected, but given old Quarters, its justified. Location was fantastic. I feel in love with Hanoi here. Room Size could have been better. There was barely any space to move around the room. None of our rooms had windows so it was a bit closed up. All rooms could have been on the same floor. With the baby it was tough to shuffle between floors.

La Storia is conveniently located in the Old Quarter, within walking distance of several cafes, the weekend night market, and the Train Street. The staff were hardworking, pleasant, and always willing to assist. They responded promptly to any queries and did their best to meet guests’ needs. Manager Tiep was attentive and maintained good communication from the time of booking. Housekeeping was commendable. The rooms were clean, the linens fresh, and the beds comfortable. Hot water supply was also reliable. Tiep, the hotel manager, offered us a free airport transfer at check-out as compensation for the unnotified room change upon our arrival, which was a “professional gesture”. The internet connection was rather slow, and some rooms were quite small. (Especially the room that was assigned to us upon arrival due to an unnotified change from the hotel’s side.) There was also a construction site next to the hotel although it didn’t cause any disturbance at night, daytime noise from drilling and machinery could be heard. (*This was not communicated before hand) Breakfast was very basic with limited options, and the coffee cups were notably small. This isn’t a complaint, but rather a few points that could be improved for a better guest experience.

Room 201-Air conditioner had error code problems daily, safe would not open, window glass opaque, refrigerator did not cool, only 3 hangers supplied in large closet, asked for more, non given. Hotel is worn and needs maintenance and a deep cleaning.

There were a lot of ants right away as soon as the table with food touched the wall. Within minutes, ants started appearing. Need to clean it right away.

We booked them via booking.com and the manager name Tiep Le is so accommodating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s very convenient and accessible

The location is very strategic. Located at heart of Old Quarter so most places of interest are by foot. Rooms are decent, clean, and breakfast is good.

Everything was perfect! The photos are accurate and hotel facade was exceptional. The whole place was great & had a great space for breakfast. I loved the breakfast options, can choose from pho (chicken/beef), toast with poached eggs/scrambled with sausage and bacon, and omelette plus yogurt (the best part!!!!!) i could easily have 2-3 servings of yogurt everyday. The manager Tiep and Staff Minh were very helpful. 5 stars they also helped us with booking our tours to incense village and ninh binh. Cleanliness can be improved. There were some days that the bathroom wasn’t thoroughly cleaned (ex. Toilet paper wasn’t refilled, missing towels, etc.)

Friendly staff.. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. While the staff was friendly, the accommodation itself was very disappointing. The room was extremely noisy, not properly cleaned, and the daily housekeeping was insufficient. A major downside was that the room had no window, making it feel very stuffy and uncomfortable. It was also very loud at night, which made it difficult to get any proper rest. At check-out, we were asked to leave a review on a piece of paper, which we did honestly. Shortly after our departure, the hotel contacted us multiple times via WhatsApp, persistently asking why we had given a negative review. They even offered us transportation to the airport – but only on the condition that we would not post a bad public review. We politely declined the offer, as it is more important to us to share an honest experience. We find this behavior highly unprofessional. It is a shame that our stay ended on such a negative note.
