There are many fun activities and cool tours you can book through the hostel for fair prices. (The Cat Ba tour I booked was one of the most fun tours I've been on) The Hostel is located basically 20 metres from beer street (the main party night life street in Hanoi) and is also close to everything else in the city. The staff were kind and nice. As a first time solo backpacker this was a very pleasant experience. There were no lounges or quite a areas to work, so unfortunately I couldn't say that this place is a good fit for digital nomads. There is the main area (lobby) which is great to chill at, but it's often croweded and there's music playing. There was no aircon in the bathroom so it was very hot. Nothing bad to say besides that.

The location was perfect, and it was easy to book day trips through the hotel When I arrived, the knob on my locker and beside reading lamp was broken. The AC also was having trouble in my room. The lamp was fixed eventually, and the staff are very friendly. A cleaning service comes early in the morning into the rooms which can be very noisy. I would not personally choose to stay here again.

The rooms, toilets and shared spaces were clean. The bed was comfortable and curtain was thick enough for privacy. The room was spacious and had ample things for our belongings. The receptionists were patient and answered my countless questions. NIL

Great location and great staff! The better very comfortable and you have your privacy.

I really appreciated the front desk staff for helping arrange a lower bunk bed for me during my three night stay. One of my favorite things about this hostel was that the 6 bed dorm had its own shared bathroom, which made the experience much more convenient and comfortable. The cleaning staff also did a good job maintaining the space, and the room stayed quite clean and tidy throughout my stay. This is not really a social hostel focused on meeting people, but if you prefer a quieter environment with decent personal space in the room, I think this place would suit you well. The bathroom door, as it didn’t seem to close properly and would sometimes open by itself.

Only thing I don’t like is they only accept cash

Great location for a first timer in Hanoi. In the middle of old town, just a block away from beer street, but somehow manages to not be too chaotic and loud. Free beer social from 1830-1900 every day, walking tours and loads of other activities. Also, free luggage storage. They make it really to stay and enjoy!

Nothing. I liked everything.
-
Price is definitely on the higher side compared to other hostels.

The breakfast was nice, the people were welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing

After spending around 10 nights here — split between a 4-bed and a 6-bed dorm — I can confidently say this hostel punches well above its weight. The space itself is well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and smells good. The dorm rooms were airy and bright thanks to balconies that let in plenty of natural light. Location is a flat 10/10. Beer Street is literally at the gate, and you're surrounded by some of the best eateries, cafes, and pubs the Old Quarter has to offer. The staff deserve a mention — consistently warm, always greeting you with a genuine smile. Practical amenities are covered too: secure lockers, a travel desk, and daily activities that make it easy to meet people if you're solo. One honest heads-up: this is very much a social hostel. The common areas come alive in the evenings, so if you're planning to work remotely after sundown, manage your expectations accordingly. All in all, a great blend of comfort, convenience, and community. I'd come back without hesitation.

There is elevator, I stayed on the 5th floor btw. Almost nothing
-
It wasn’t very social, but that might have just been the time I was there.
-
Clean and large open rooms that did not feel cramped, safe for female solo travelers, great location, good guided tours and events, decently social but not quite as much as others. Good if you do not want too much of a party hostel.
-
Immaculate location and great amenities within the hostel. Bathrooms were nice and beds were comfortable and clean. Stairs instead of a ladder to the top bunks were a good touch. Free walking tour was a great way to meet people. “Common area” with bean bags was pretty laughable.

Loved having filtered water, bathroom in the 4-bed dorms. Helpful, English-fluent staff. Motorbike parking (for a reasonable fee). Despite having a social environment in the common room, the place is pretty quiet and peaceful at night. Located in a very crowded area. Some may like being so close to the action, but I didn't need it.
