Silk Flower Hotel & Spa

The staff are so warm and welcoming, they really are beyond. They helped with a scheduling change before we arrived, and asked about our comfort many times. They were eager to give recommendations, but not pushy when we had our own plans. The breakfast is generous, with both self-serve and ready-made options - if you go late, the self-serve is slimmer pickings. The room was quite good - comfortable beds, good water pressure, thank goodness for a window with natural light ;) There is definitely some maintenance required, but all cosmetic issues. For this price, I don’t expect luxury or perfection. We enjoyed the location, very near the old quarter, the lake, and the French quarter, but not as chaotic has being right in the OQ. The air conditioning was a bit lacking - if it would go 1-2 degrees cooler it would be perfect.

Location was great. Room was a little run down. Not totally clean. Everything was functional and for the price it was adequate.

Nice staff, free breakfast buffet. Cheap but clean and big space. You need to walk a few minutes because its not accessible by car. Over all its nice and super afforadable.

Food was good and other facilities are fine but not that much excellent. Staff forced to give the review and latrine materials were not updated well till the compliments were made. And I tried to extend one day self but deliberately increased the price that I expected.

The staff was very kind and helpful!! Kevin and Hieu were very professional! The location was great and at a very great price!!

Reception staff was accommodating and very respectful to guest and was able to assist us with our needs. Especially Vicky and Fiona who both attended to our request. Good job to both ladies. Facilities were okay as well and rooms were bit for 4 small but cozy and comfortable. Buffet for breakfast provided. Accommodated our request for earlier time as we had tour set at 7am. Many thanks It's not that I did not like suggesting a variation in buffet breakfast atleast every other day for those long staying guests to have options. But just the same. Kitchen staff were all nice and very accommodating to our request. Kudos.

It’s located in a great spot. The staff were really nice. The hotel looks older in real life it did look like the pictures but only as if a good few years had passed. On the first day i arrived everything looked good and clean besides the beddings. But they changed it for me so it was fine after that.

Vicky and Fiona were wonderful. Would like to come again.

Pros (+) ​The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. ​Perfect location; right in the city center and very convenient. ​Staff allowed us to store our luggage for safekeeping and were very helpful with it. Cons (-) ​There were flies flying around during breakfast, which was unpleasant. ​The evening receptionist was very pushy about selling package tours at twice the normal price. ​The hotel's laundry service is quite expensive. ​The TV in the room is very old and sometimes doesn't work at all. ​I saw a cockroach in the bathroom, and there were mosquitoes in the room. Pest control is definitely needed. ​The liquid soap and shampoo provided were of very poor quality.

Incredible location. I love the fact that the hotel is in the middle of a traditional wet (very clean) market. Couldn’t ask for more of authenticity! Bath towels were old and ripped. I don’t mind if the towels are thin, but ripped towels were a bit crossing the line…

I think the only benefit of this property is the location in the Old Quarter. We ended up moving hotels so I can’t say much about the staff other than the short interaction we had when checking in, which was pleasant. But honestly we don’t have many nice things to say about this property. As soon as we entered we noted that this place was very dirty. The sheets had stains, the bathroom was moldy, and the rooms were very dusty and dirty. We ended up booking a different place nearby because we didn’t even want to spend the night.

The hotel had comfortable beds and a good breakfast . The location was good , in between train and beer streets and the Hoan Kiem lake. Kevin and Vicki at the front desk helped us out with an error I made with the booking.

Great location in the old quarter, easy to walk to everything. Lovely staff. Room was very nice as well, well worth the money
