Very nice and helpful front desk staff. The staff members, a women and a man, helped us with a transportation issue that was caused by the online booking agency, tracked down local provider and spoke to them for us to resolve. Then, they provided us accurate instructions on what to do, and sent me a message from their private cell to my WhatsApp just in case I encountered issues after. Very helpful, efficient and professional! I would stay here just knowing that the front desk staff are true hospitality providers. I think the housekeeper forgot to clean the bathroom as trash was not emptied and facilities looked used but after notifying them quick took charge and cleaned and (unnecessarily) profusely apologized. This was not a big deal and would not prevent me from booking again.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the hospitality was truly outstanding. The reception team went above and beyond assisting us with transport, helping track down a lost phone, even communicating with a local person to get it back. They handled everything with such warmth and constant smiles, which made our stay even more memorable. We weren’t very satisfied with the breakfast, and the chef should take a cleaner, more hygienic approach to food preparation. The positive side is that they’ve already begun repairing and upgrading the kitchen and food area, which is reassuring and shows they’re working on improvements.

We love the location—it’s close to Hanoi’s must-visit tourist spots! If you’re into jogging, running, or just love taking long walks, Indira Gandhi Park is the nearest green escape. A stroll there already feels like a mini walking tour of the city!

when i book online i always check the proximity distance of the place of where we usually go for the trip. location wise this hotel is the closest to the Bulgaria Embassy. the staff are great in listening and comprehends very well in english. i will be booking this hotel again in our next batches in the future. i commend the staff named Sunno because he always updates me whether my students arrived yet or not yet since he knows it was their first time coming to Vietnam. He also cares for the well being of my students. thank you Sunno. also aside from an affordable place to stay, they also offer free breakfast which keeps my students ready for the day. also it is a plus that water dispenser is available at all times esp the hot weather outside i hope to see you in Fall the area is traffic during the day so most convenient is just to walk rather wait for grab to arrive later.

The breakfast was delicious with a variety of Vietnamese’s breakfast foods.

The room was super modern and clean. The staff was nice. There is no window in the room if that's something that would bother you. We didn't enjoy the breakfast. There weren't that many options, and we simply don't enjoy soup, meat, or fried rice for breakfast. So we ended up eating toast and butter. So if you like european style of breakfast like us, don't get breakfast here,save some money and get food somewhere else.

Clean hotel and good location for exploring Hanoi. Nothing

The staff were excellent and couldn’t do more to help and support me with anything I needed having just handed in Hanoi. The room was fantastic and the bed extremely comfortable!

The young lady at the front desk was not so good. I asked for extra pillows for my bad back and she provided 1, I asked for a kitchen knife so I can cut some fruit and she said sorry kitchen is closed and offered no alternative, I asked for dish soap to get a stain out of my shirt and she said sorry kitchen is closed, offered no alternative again. Showed no initiative to care for the customer, rather shocking in my opinion. The room has the smallest area to sit on the toilet I’ve ever experienced, anyone over 5’1” can’t put their knees straight. No physical door to the shower bath area either. Also the breakfast in the morning is by far the worst breakfast I’ve ever seen in Vietnam. They do not offer fresh Vietnamese coffee…….instead they offer instant coffee packages you can make yourself. A couple fruits and some instant noodles available to eat. For the money it’s a rip off. Would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Exceptional

Right after Sapa we came to Hanoi. We arrived at Gilson around 10pm. There was a big blunder, no more available room left despite having our reservation already confirmed in print. However, the problem was well handled by a front desk staff. The young man by the name of Sunno helped to arrange alternative accomodations at a nearby hotel. Our 'stop-gap' stay at Kuretake Inn wasn't perfect but at least reasonably comfortable. Our 5 star review is mainly because the outstanding performance of 2 staffs; Teng Cu and Sunno. Had a friendly and hearty conversation with Sunno. We think, he simply carried the team. Great job!

The location is convenient far away from the dirty old quarter and in a real neighbourhood in walking distance to the important monuments. The hotel is true to its stars no fake reviews it provides basic accommodation at a very good price. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast with Karaoke The linen didn't feel that fresh they can work on this I guess
