Staff were amazing!! Pool needs better drinks and wine selection. Great location. More wine options

Choose rooms with city view as those with internal windows are a bit clastrofobic.

This hotel is right in heart of the Old Quarter. It’s located in a beautifully restored historical building with all the amenities of a 5star hotel. Very comfortable beds, great breakfast with a nice variety, super nice staff always ready to answer your questions. Super cute rooftop with a pool and a nice bar. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the city. Convenience stores(7/11 etc) located all around in case you need something. Lots of great coffee shops and small restaurants all around as well. You really cannot beat this location. It was real treat coming back to our nice, cool and refreshing room after a long sticky hot day of exploring Hanoi.

Fantastic staff, everyone was super helpful - especially Chloe. She did an incredible job. Rooms were clean and location was fantastic, only 5 minute walk to the old quarter but removed enough to be a bit more quiet in the evenings. Breakfast was very delicious Rooms were a bit small, and the pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures.

Nice and classic Nothing

Staffs are friendly and excellent. Rooms are new and clean. Location is close enough to walk, but not in the heart of Old Quarter where it’s super busy. Nothing honestly. Room is a little small, but not the end of the world.

Grand Du Lac had one of the best staffs I have come across in my travels through Vietnam. From the reception, dining to the porters, they all personalised our stay. We stayed there as our hub for travels to Ha Long Bay and Sapa. The staff made us feel that we were coming to our own home. Our thanks go to all the staff. If ever any hotellier needed a lesson in management, this is the place to learn! All our needs were met without acception.

Location, friendly staff (love the simple tourist map that is hands out and welcome drink/snack) and rooms. Comfortable, clean. Hard to fault. First time staying in the Grand hotel du lac - range of hotels. Exceeded my expectations.

The room was quite small for the price.

Lovely, well maintained boutique style hotel. Well lit, well staffed, cozy room, hospitality plus whether from the front desk, the breakfast and dinner staff or the rooftop bar. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Wine selection was excellent. They pay attention to detail. I love that there is a grand piano and stylish pieces of furniture in the lobby. They were also communicative throughout the visit, and helped with safely boarding the grab taxis. I left early in the morning and they prepared a take away bento. Super! Just the pros and cons of being on a very busy street in the Old Quarter. It is a good location but there is lots of traffic.

Very nice and helpful reception/staff ! The hotel's location is really perfect for Hanoi. There is just one lift. That is too few in peak hours. Other than that, it's a really perfect hotel. You have to put the toilet paper into the bucket - standard in Hanoi.

Everything about the property was excellent. The staff esp Jack and Julie were like your personal concierge service. Location was excellent It was a little more expensive than it’s neighbors but worth it
-
Excellent location where tourist attractions are walking distance , the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

All the team at the reception were exceptional. We has a lovely dining experience that had a good view. The staff were very approachable and polite, being able to deal with the requests. We are vegetarians and they made every effort to ensure that we were catered for. Thank you. Everything seems to go well for us.
