Convenient location The property does not have a lift, but this was not explicitly stated in the listing. I was given a room on Level 4 and had a very difficult time carrying my bags up and down the stairs, especially as I had sore arms. This was inconvenient and disappointing, and I believe the absence of a lift should be clearly highlighted in the property description.

The carpet on the stairs was quite dirty, and was very dated but we had shoes on so it wasn't a problem for us and you definitely get value for your money

The lady at reception was extremely courteous and helpful.Her brother as well was kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right in the heart of everything. Excellent value for money. Accessing the room on the fourth floor via stairs was somewhat tiring; considering the price, it was acceptable!

Fantastic stay with a very kind and solicitous owner! Furnishings are simple but very comfortable and clean, and the staff was accommodating to our requests at all hours of the night. As long as you have enough mobility to climb lots of stairs (we were at the top floor and it was almost humorous how high the staircase went), this is a great stay. Would definitely book again.

The location is unbeatable, right at the center of the old quarter at the opening of the beer street. It makes the weekend nights very noisy but that is what I wanted to experience. Staff are very sweet and friendly and always willing to help. Room was small but had a balcony. Bathroom is also tight but functional. No elevator and my room was on 4th floor. Climbing up and down 8 flights of stairs was not fun.

Great location! It’s right in the heart of beer street, shopping and the lake is about a 5 minute walk. Getting to the bus station is walkable, only 10 minutes. The owner is super friendly and helpful for anything you need. She offer coffee for your charge in the morning. She even taught my daughter in law how to properly bargain for fresh fruit to get the best fair price. I can’t think of anything that I was unhappy about regarding this property.

The staff are wonderful and helpful, and the location is right in the bustling Old Quarter. The climb up to the 4th floor.

The location is perfect for people who want to enjoy the night life of Hanoi. Many restaurants near the hotel and also the highway bus stop is near. The hotel doesn’t have a lift and we have to carry our baggage to upper floors by ourselves. It is noisy at night because of its location.

Location is very close to Old Quarter attractions Staff are friendly Despite communicating in advance repeatedly about booking a taxi with Joye Hotel, they decided not to tell us in advance that our room had been double booked until we arrived at the hotel after a long day of traveling. We were told we must stay at the hotel next door, which was poorly rated on booking.com. Obviously this was not a welcome introduction to the hotel and it's disappointing they chose to proceed this way WiFi connection intermittent.
