L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi

We had such a wonderful stay at L’Hôtel du Lac Hanoi and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we made our booking until checkout, everything was handled smoothly. We arrived in Hanoi very early in the morning and the airport pickup arranged by the hotel made our arrival easy and stress-free. The staff truly made our stay special. They were friendly, welcoming and always eager to help with a smile. They kindly assisted us with our luggage, gave us thoughtful suggestions for sightseeing places and souvenir shops and overall made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were efficient and attentive. When we had a small plumbing issue in our room during our stay, they responded promptly and had it fixed very quickly. The breakfast was good as well. In addition to the buffet, we could order a few dishes à la carte, which was a lovely touch. The hotel itself, being a boutique hotel, is beautifully decorated, and the rooftop bar is the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day while enjoying a lovely view of the city at sundown. The location in the Old Quarter is a big plus. It is just a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake with many attractions, restaurants and cafés nearby, so there is always something to explore. A big thank you to the entire team at L’Hôtel du Lac Hanoi for making our stay so memorable. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay here again if we visit Hanoi in the future. We loved everything about this property! It was stylish, clean, and a great location! The staff went above and beyond. There was always someone to open the front door with a warm welcome. Someone was also helping with the elevator. And the staff at breakfast were absolutely wonderful! All the staff were excellent! NA

there was construction work all day for the 3 days we were there. It was really noisy in our room and we were only told about it after checking in and paying and being shown to our room. Our room also had a leaking toilet. They offered a free airport taxi as an apology for the week after when we were coming back which we messaged to ask for. They didn't reply until a whole day later when it was already too late. I think maybe we were just unlucky with timings and if there wasn't construction work and we had a different room would have been a great hotel.

This hotel is absolutely stunning — it feels like a work of art. The entire building is covered with incredible murals featuring majestic tigers, dragons, and other beautiful artwork. Every corner is beautifully designed and full of character. The balconies overlook the lively streets of Hanoi, creating a truly magical atmosphere and allowing you to soak in the energy of the city. There’s also a fantastic rooftop bar with amazing views, especially in the evening. The breakfast is excellent, with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. Yogurts are served in glass jars, and fresh juices are kept in glass bottles in the refrigerator. Guests can also order freshly prepared dishes made to their liking, which adds a wonderful personal touch. What makes the experience even more special is the staff. They treat every guest like royalty, providing exceptional service and genuine hospitality. Everyone is warm, attentive, and eager to help, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. This is truly one of the most memorable and beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in.

My friends and I stayed at the Hotel du Lac in Old Town Hanoi 3 times with trips around Northern Vietnam interspersed. I knew this hotel and staff were something special when we first arrived, catering to our every need. They were very welcoming and always happy, and quite professional! My roommate runs hot, and me, not so much, so I asked for the bedding to accommodate my needs and then each time I returned, the bed was made up to my first request! I felt very special. Every one of the staff was so friendly and helpful, Chloe helping us go to and from the hotel, where to go, and so much more, Victor for remembering my custom drink, and his happy banter. Trainee Einstein let me name him! The location of the hotel was great, as it was easy to walk to many restaurants, shops, the lake and the puppet theatre, and I felt very safe venturing out on my own. Their breakfasts were the best I had on my trip! They had a nice variety, and the coffee was great. I will always remember my stay at Hotel du Lac and especially the staff. Nothing!

Hotel du LAC in Hanoi was the perfect spot to relax after being out and about in a bustling city. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. The bed was so comfortable and I got such great sleep every night. Breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from. The rooftop bar had delicious drinks and a solid happy hour. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot that is also a good value.

Beautiful property, excellent location, great staff and roof bar. We stayed in the Balcony Room on the fifth floor and there was no street noise at night. Would thoroughly recommend.
