Econo Lodge Harrisburg - Hershey

This hotel is very run down and there is no attention to detail when cleaning. I never took my flip flops off. Even in the shower. We were only there for one night and the sheets were clean so we made it work. But definitely make another choice if you're in the area. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because staff were nice, there were no bugs, and I didn't feel unsafe.

Bugs in the room and the bathroom

Very poor!! Not clean and the first room we got had a broken AC unit and smelled. The second room we found bugs in the bathroom. Not recommended!!

Upon arriving the hotel, it had a lot of weeds and growth going on around the parking lot. Entering the front door, the temperature was very hot. There didn't seem to be any air conditioning running. I got my key, went to my room, the carpets were old in the hallways and really needed replaced, the room which was for disability with roll in shower was dirty. The sink had a hair in it, the bed had multiple hairs in it, a long hair was on the end table where the lights are located next to the bed, then the bugs showed up. I took a picture showed the manager, which I was then directed to come onto here and call here to cancel the property as I didn't want to go to another room. Finally, I was refunded my money and the hotel manager came to my room as I was getting ready to leave to make sure that I was indeed leaving, how rude that was. Then upon leaving the police were there watching another car. I got a room at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS up the road for CHEAPER THAN WHAT I PAID FOR THIS ROOM! It was fantastic and got a free breakfast with it. This place is NOT RECOMMENDED!

Disappointing

Floor in the room wasn’t very bad shape. The door was hard to open, because it rubbed on the floor. Rest was OK.

NOTHING. IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE TRASHY HOTEL. ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT I DIDNT GET PROTECTION OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE CANCELLED. IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. I SHOULD HAVE SLEPT IN MY CAR. NO PLACE FOR FAMILIES. UTTER DISGUSTING. IT WAS A FILTHY HOTEL. DIRTY CARPETING. FOOD STAINS IN THE REFRIGERATOR. DIRTY WALLS. OLD DAMAGED FURNITURE. HORRIBLE TV. IT WAS AN EYESORE. UNSAFE FOR FAMILIES. I DIDN'T BOTHER WITH THE BREAKFAST. TURN ON THE SHOWER AND IT STARTS TO MAKE NOISE. I DIDN'T EXPECT A DUMP. I WILL NOT LOWER MY STANDARDS AGAIN.

Our first room had mold in the ceiling “stains” all over the beds, broken light fixtures, and the locks in the door didn’t work at all We were given a different room which had just as many stains, the ac was broken, toilet has tape wrapped around it, the shower somebody used plaster to repair a crack, and finally the bathroom sink had a knife stuck in the drain The staff is super friendly and nice though. The building is crap. Oh also well we were out they changed all the locks on the rooms and didn’t notify us so we were locked out somebody came in for the night. This place may be a Econo lodge but god damn it’s in rough shape Straight up did not have a good time bro
