The hotel is beautiful and incredibly well-maintained. While it looks like a charming older building from the outside, the moment you step inside, it feels wonderfully cozy, warm, and clean. The rooms are modern, fully air-conditioned, and come equipped with all the amenities you could need. The location is absolutely amazing—just 20 meters away from the shopping area and super close to the bus stop. You can easily walk to the Old Town, and there are plenty of great restaurants right around the corner. Breakfast was delicious with a fantastic selection, and the service was so outstanding that it felt like being with family. The staff are all so friendly and incredibly helpful. We will definitely be coming back here! There is no elevator in the hotel. However, this wasn't really an issue for us at all because the staff happily helped us carry our heavy bags up to our room when we arrived. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was tasty and the staff was friendly. The property was clean. Air conditioner worked fairly well. The check in experience isn't great. A small booth, no lobby. Our TV didn't work so we asked to be moved. Second room was just OK. Pillows so lumpy that I bought one in town. Cheap bed linens in general. Not horrible, just not worth the price paid. Photos are not wrong, but somehow don't really capture the vibe. Two star atmosphere at four star prices.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is unbeatable and within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The room was modern, spotless, and had excellent air conditioning, which was especially appreciated during the hot weather. The bed was very comfortable, and everything felt clean and well maintained. We were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again. Nothing everything was great

The location was perfect. The breakfast had a lot of options. The room for four people was very large and it was the best sleep I had in a week.

Room and bathroom were both sparkling clean. Breakfast was excellent. Location is close to trams and 20 minute walk to Heiliggiest.

Very conveniently located next to the main bus stop by at the beginning of the old town. This provided a middle point for us visit things in the old town and sites farther away. Perfect for us.

I was blown away by Hotel Goldene Rose. The staff was incredibly hospitable, especially with our toddler, making us feel welcome from the moment they stored our bags early for us. The room was spotless with powerful AC, a comfortable bed, and a crib already set up upon arrival. They even provided a complementary bottle of sparking water, tee bags and Nespresso pods. The location is also perfect—right in the heart of the Old City and a short walk from the station. The absolute highlight was the breakfast. It was a stunning spread in a peaceful space that far exceeded any typical continental breakfast. Beyond the high-quality buffet, the staff served fresh cappuccinos and made-to-order omelets and eggs. As an American, I’ve never seen this level of quality and service included in a stay; it was worth every penny. From start to finish, every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Nothing. Everything was great, seriously.

I wish it was about 10 min closer to the main town area. But it was still worth the extra walk.

A charming hotel, in great location- a minute from the central pedestrian street, 15 minute walk from the Old Bridge. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed It was not a big deal for me but the absence of an elevator may be a problem for some people

This is my 2nd time staying in German hotel and I am questioning why German beds and bedding so extremely not comfortable, like it is especially designed to make the sleep unbearable? The hotel itself is nice for the price, the location is the best, very clean rooms, nice breakfast, but the bed was worse than the ER hospital bed, the mattress was bouncy and not designed to rest or comfortable lay on it. The bedding was very bad too - the pillow is not to sleep on, the blanket super short and small, is could be good to cover a child but not a grown up. I am really puzzled - is it not a thing to be comfortable in your sleep in Germany?

The location is gr8, right inside the city centre. Rooms were clean and spacious. Most importantly the price for which I stayed is the cheapest among all during my trip in Germany. Staff contacted me & explained about the entrance to Hotel as my arrival was after 9pm.

Curtains. The bkackout curtains did not cover the whole area.

Breakfast is excellent. So many different things to choose from. Fresh bagels, breads, croissants from the local bakery. Variety of cheeses, meats, vegetables, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, honey, jams, milk, juices and many other things. They do have boiled eggs at the breakfast table, but one can order them scrambled or any other way. Teas are at the breakfast table as well, coffee is being served by the breakfast stuff in a pot, but they do make espresso and any other kind by request. Nothing that we can think of.

Location was perfect, room was clean and great with 1 twin bed. Breakfast was very nice. I felt very comfortable and the price was great too

Beautiful breakfast room, very charming and classy! The breakfast buffet was amazing and such an fantastic presentation. Our room was unique and very comfortable. We enjoyed looking over the Haupstrasse. Everything was great, we would stay there again.
