When we arrived at 2 am we were given a friendly welcome, a soft drink and shown to our room, where a cold plate had been laid on for each of us, as we were too late for dinner. A really nice welcome. Parking was usually available in the road next to the hotel. We had been upgraded to a pool side room with terrace, which was comfortable. It had good lighting in both the room and the bathroom, and plenty of storage space. It was clean and had all the usual amenities including a big walk-in shower. The restaurant service and staff were good. Tables were cleaned and freshly laid for each guest. Food was plentiful with a wide choice. Breakfast included fried eggs, bacon, tomato, potato; salads, several cereals, a choice of fruit and yoghurts, including lovely Greek yoghurt with honey. Lunch or dinner had a different soup each day, a wide choice of salads, as well as hot dishes, fruit and deserts. Staff constantly topped up the serving dishes and kept guests supplied, even as it got towards closing time. There is a large pool with plenty of loungers and brollies, but insufficient because of people hogging the loungers. The food was very bland and pretty boring. Prawns are much tastier and better quality from our local UK supermarket. The Asian cuisine, served 3 times a week on top of the usual buffet, had hardly any flavour and was not at all spicy. Thai red curry is normally 3 chillies. The hotel’s version rated, at most, ¼ chilli. There are lots of notices telling guests not to reserve loungers with their towels, or these would be removed, but the staff never removed the towels and many loungers were reserved, but un-occupied for hours. As early as 07:30 most loungers were reserved. It is really difficult to find a quiet room. Ours was facing the pool and the hotel bar is on the other side of the pool has entertainment from 9 – 11 every evening, so it is impossible to sleep. Friends said they were near the disco next door which had very loud music until 02:30. If sleep is important to you make sure you get a quiet room. There is a charge of €3 per night to use the safe, which is essential to safely store valuables. This should be included in the room rate.

Close to the beach, pool areas were nice, plenty of beds although when the hotel is full probably not enough, we were only allowed one towel each that you had to change at certain times! At the back of the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and bars and a lovely walk to the harbour. Food was ok but not very hot, staff were friendly, and helpful. the Italian a la carte restaurant was good and so was the burger a la carte. They tried hard with the entertainment in the day and evening. Rooms could do with upgrading but very clean. Clear water pool was much better. On arrival we were told we had to pay for the safe!!! Our room was ver noisy in the morning with the bins being emptied. Air conditioning was useless. Salt water pool was so salty. The dining room was set out very peculiarly and a bit dinghy.

the food is excellent we struggled to get our rooms cleaned for the whole stay, apparently we were told down to lack of staff other guests were saying same, don’t think you should have to ask for toilet roll and towels after a couple of days, on the occasion they did clean the rooms they only made the bed very badly and ignored the bathroom which I needed things. my mum was in the adjoining room again when hers was cleaned there was no consistency she got towels I didn’t. I also feel a maid called Effie is slating the place we were on balcony and she was telling us how bad the service is here not what you want to here when your trying to relax. They said lack of staff there were 2 of them consistently hiding up side of our room smoking doing as little work as they could. Our room was around the pool the evening entertainment is a joke the noise is the same in room as at the bar it don’t finish to 11.15 this wreaked my holiday as I don’t stay up late and had to wait for it to finish it was basically a nightclub in your room and the bloke on quiz nights really does like the sound of his own voice, far to loud felt sorry for a few apartments up they had a baby and a 2 year old. I’m disabled and brought my own scooter even though I got through it the stoney floor is very bumpy, not set up for disabled using crutches from room to restaurant some steps lacked handrails also the floor outside the restaurant is a worry when wet as very slippery, we spoke to a lady who fell and hit her head after dinner as so slippery.

The hotel was really nice! most of all the staff was very friendly and very helpful!! The variety of the meals was also quite fine! They are missing an animation team! Especially if you go with kids you feel this as also the town itself doesn’t offer much!
