Under new management from 2020 and with a great seafront location, the family-owned Hervey Bay Motel offers a relaxed base with home comforts, from which to visit the World Heritage listed Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, cable TV and free WiFi. Hervey Bay Motel is located on the Charlton Esplanade, just 15 minutes' walk from Urangan Pier and Bayswater Bar & Grill, among other restaurants and cafes. Hervey Bay Motel is located across the road from a popular swimming beach.

The staff were helpful and kind. They even let us borrow their own rain jackets for our whale tour.

Staff were friendly and offered info on where to eat and weather permitting, suggested a walk out on the pier at sunset. Unfortunately, weather was not good. The room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable. Nothing.

Our twin room was very clean and comfortable. It was very good value for an overnight stay. Council works across road made it noisy but didn’t affect our stay at night. John & Lee very welcoming and helpful. Would stay there again, had everything we needed and walking distance to cafes and jetty. Not the place to choose if you want peace and quiet for a longer stay as on busy Esplanade.

The entire staff were fantastic : the housekeeper, as well as the lady and gentleman at reception, were all incredibly kind, friendly, smiling and always accommodating. Excellent value for money.

Everything about our overnight stay was fabulous, only one night but we were made to feel welcome by Lee and John, they gave us some wonderful ideas such as sunset accross the road on the jetty. Nothing! Everything was superb.

The Beach was right across the road and I was able to walk to and from the Bayswater Hotel. Nothing!
