The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early and the offered to keep our bags for us and took them up to the room when it is was ready. The pool was really great! Our room had a nice view and it was clean. The lobby felt like a bit of ghost town - more could be done to make it a bit welcoming. The balcony attached to the room really needed to be cleaned.

The view from the room was very nice. The temperature of the rotenburo was great. We were denied request for a meal. The location was somewhat inconvenient and unsafe for pedestrians. The building is showing its age and is in need of repairs and upkeep. The pool was empty during our stay.

Absolutely nothing … most especially the ability to adjust to our changed needs based on our difficult and unexpected medical emergency. We tried to request a refund, but the Vietnamese clerk, who had only stated working at the property that day, was unable to convince to sour manager that our need was genuine. The filthy, run-down appearance in the foyer, which extended to the the disgusting, half-filled green pool, broken fittings in the room, stained carpets, unusable light bulbs, old soiled bed covers and general appearance of abandonment. The position is isolated and, without a car, finding a meal was impossible. The depiction of the property on booking.com in NO way resembled the actual reality. We stayed one night because we had no options, but were not prepared to stay a second night. We left without our requested refund. This was disappointing as we had exclusively used booking.com for our all accommodation bookings in Japan and now Canada.

Need renovation. Not enough stuff probably but there was no one in reception and we wait with all luggage.

The room itself was spacious and clean with a soothing onsen. For the price it was decent enough for one night, though we are in no rush to return. This hotel is poorly maintained and the owners should invest some money in the facilities. The hallways and elevator are very dirty. The fence for the outdoor onsen is falling apart with huge holes. While our room had "ocean views," they are marred by the ruins of an old abandoned hotel and pool that should be demolished. The room was very hot with no way to cool it down. The "A/C" was set to warm due to the season and we couldn't change it. There are almost no restaurants in the area open at night.

The view of the ocean was lovely. The room was great value for money if you consider the how we got and what other hotels charge for the same. The staff where very nice and very accommodating to our requests. Onsen temperature was good. Outdoor and indoor baths are available. Pool was large, clean and well kept. Hotel looked a bit older than expected in certain areas. Entrance was a bit strange and difficult to find without the use of Japanese. Outside onsen could have been a bit cleaner. Windows of room could have been a bit cleaner.

Near the sea and good for photographing sunrise. The room look aged. The shower doors unable to close, adhesive tape was use to secure the loose doors, this is not secure and dangerous, almost cut my finger. The condition of the adhesive tape show that there was no attempt to service the door.

There is not much to like about the property, except maybe the fact that it is on the east side of Izu meaning that you can see the sunset. Swimming pool advertised but abandoned. No air conditioner Staff completely ignored requests about the problems mentioned above. Abandoned building right before the hotel that ruins the view The area is full of mosquitoes because of residual water in the abandoned pool
