Okay as Toyoko Inns go. Convenient being almost in front of the Himeji Shinkansen Station. The whole building is currently covered with scaffoldings, which you see just outside of your room window. Not that I would blame the hotel, much less the staff, but mentioning it for your info.

the location of the hotel was right outside the station, although it was quiet place, which made it easier to walk around. the breakfast was quiet nice, the staff very friendly, the room very clean with all necessary things. Quick check in and check out.

Great location. The room as expected. Bed was comfortable. Everything clean. Amenities to pick up downstairs. Nice breakfast. The bathroom smelled of tobacco. I think the smell is pulled through the ventilation and goes through all the floors, regardless whether the room is smoking or non-smoking. It was really difficult to shower comfortably with the smell.

The breakfast was average. It was good enough to keep me going for a few hours. Make sure you get the right Tokoyo Inn Himeji. This is right across from the train station. There's another about 5 minutes walk away.
