ONE Hostel&Standing Bar

I really liked One Hostel Himeji. I recommend it to solo travellers! The capsules are spacy, the facilities nice and clean. Generally quite place and everything worked out well with my stay! You have supermarket nearby and you will be well located in a central street between the Himeji-Jo and other popular places-restaurants. Loved the chill washitsu area! All good

The staff was very friendly and helpful right from the beginning. The hostel is in a very convenient location, an easily walkable distance from both the castle and the station. The way the facility is managed seems clear and efficient, for example, having a code to get back in the building at any hour if you happen to be out late, and having access to a small locker and the option for larger coin lockers if you need them. The beds are fairly comfortable. There's 2 showers each for men and for women (4 total), and about 6 sinks with mirrors and hair dryers at each. All felt quite clean and accessible. And all of this for a very good price. The extra coin lockers are large, but still somewhat limited in size, so I couldn't fit my oversized luggage. Just be aware that if you can't fit your bag in a locker, you will probably have to leave it out beside your bed. That being said, the front door of the hostel is locked so your bag should be safe. Also, the staff is frequently around. Just wanted to bring that up if you are the type of person to get worried about that. If you are, you may want to bring your own lock for you bag. I left my bag out and didn't have any problems, so it's most likely fine.

The facilities were clean and easy to use. Beds were comfortable and soft. I was welcomed warmly during check-in despite being late, which was a pleasant surprise. Communication with staff was perfect. As a tall person, I kept hitting the walls around the bed. More of a me problem but good to know for other tall people perhaps.

The place is conveniently located very near Himeji Castle and right in the shopping street, yet not affected by the noise in the evenings. The toilet common area is big, clean and very new. There are plenty of options to eat right outside, including a supermarket. There was only one charging plug in the bed to charge my devices. The bed space is somewhat narrow, and the curtain did not work well. A bit too basic for a comfortable sleep. The dorm is in the same space with the trash cans. It'd be better if they could be in a separate space.

good value, comfortable pods, ok facilities. good location, but a little walk from the main station. most people do himeji as a day trip, but i like it as a base for the shinkansen (it is not the best as not all trains stops here) but the area after tourist hours are so nice and chill, with lots of good restaurants. not much complaints, just the 10min walk to the station it can be a lot when you're tired

A bit of a walk from the station but it is closer to the Himeji castle. No elevator so have to carry suitcase up few flights of stairs.

Location is very good, walk to Himeji Castle around 10min. It’s close to a commercial area, but it’s not noisy.

not far away from the Himeji station and the Himeji Castle. the owner on the reception can contact you with whatsapp, that's very convenient. the ladder to climb to the capsule bed is not stable, I wish they would fasten the ladder to the frame of the bed. It costs 1000 yen to do laundry here, but the laundromat nearby is about the same price. the laundromat isn't very close.

My second time staying here. It’s a big hostel but both times there were only five guests, so the place feels spacious and quiet. It’s clean and modern and I always meet cool people here. Nice staff too

The property is really clean and spacious! One of the most spacious hostels I’ve been to in Japan. Also super clean and the staff was very kind, attentive and accommodating. Would love to stay there again while traveling in Himeji!
